Who was (is?) Hashirama Senju's son?

We all know Tsunade is Hashirama's granddaughter but there is no mention of his son. He might as well have had a daughter who in turn was Tsunade's mother, but I think he may have had a son. If so, then what happened to that guy? Was he a good guy or a bad guy? Was he disappointed that the Hokage-ship passed on to Tobirama and hence decided to take revenge on Konoha? Did that guy become Tobi?

If Tobi, is the son of Hashirama Senju and Mito Uzumaki, would explain three things

1) Why he knows so much about Konoha, Hashirama and also Madara and the Uchihas
2) Him being part Uzumaki, would explain how he uses chakra chains similar to that of Kushina's to control the tailed beasts
3) How he came in to contact with Nagato and understood his compatibility with the Rinnegan and how he could have used it to his advantage.

A bit out there but then all we can do is speculate right?!

Well, yes, the wiki has no information on Hashirama's son or daughter as they are never mentioned by Kishi in the manga. But there has to be a son or a daughter so that Tsunade can have a dad/mom right?

the 5th hokage is the graddaughter of the first. who said the first had a son though? he coulda had a girl and that girl coulda been the 5th's mom...

Solid theory - except for motive - Why would he be upset that Tobirama was Hokage, he was older than him - and help founded the leaf with Hashi.

I have seen/heard no mention ever of Madara having a son, let alone a name. Where did you come across that? :O

Also, when Sandaime is telling the Yondaime and Kushina about the weakening of the seal during childbirth, he says that the same thing happened and the seal almost broke when Mito was giving birth.

Both have similar whisker like markings on their face, which can be a result of both their mothers being jinchuurikis of the nine tails. U_U
