Was just reading chapter 510 again, and saw that 'tobi' was saying now 3 of the 6 paths will be one.

But in the naruto vs pein fight, i thought it was pretty clear that the 6 paths were the 6 different abilities that the peins used. (not including nagato's 7th pein ability)

What is confusing me is that tobi is suggesting that the uchiha, senju and rinnegan are 3 of the 6 paths, which confuses things more because we all now know that the rinnegan is an evolution of the sharingan after acheiving senju dna.

Someone clear things up for me please? :)

I think what he means by "Paths" is that they have acquired a certain amount of the Rikudo Sennin's powers. So the 3rd path, is half way there maybe?
That would make sense except that edo madara right now is claiming to be the new sage of 6 paths, when he only has sharingan, senju dna and rinnegan. so unless he has something more that we dont know yet i dunno :(

Katon , Doton , Raiton , Suiton, Fuuton , Life& Death

or its -

Ninjutsu
Fuinjutsu
Summoing
Life and Death
basically six paths of pain
both have been suggested in the manga, jiraiya suggested the elements one when he first discovered nagato to have the rinnegan, but then pein suggests something different with the abilities he had, but now tobi suggest something completely different :/

there should have been a simple explaination somewhere in the manga :/ i mean the term '6 paths' has been passed around so much lately, but no one knows what it actually means -_- kishi needs to do some explaining -_-
No this is excellent, this might be the ultimate question of Naruto & the actual plan of Tobi, obtaining the 6 paths.
