There's a difference by stating something that's already obvious (like stating JB is a girl, because everyone knows then that you're joking because it's clear he's a boy) and asking a question that can be taken seriously. It could have been true that you really didn't understand the context of the sentence or why it was said in that tone.

seriously? if i don't understand little things like that then why in the world i would read the manga ?

You would be surprised at how many people can misinterpret a tone of a sentence.

I never claimed I was talking about the members here. And even if I was, who says some don't understand that context? Being older then 14 doesn't automatically mean that one can understand the underlying context of a sentence.
When I was seventeen and was sitting in English class, a girl, who's a year older than me, asked a question that everyone in the first year of English should have been able to answer to. She wasn't able to answer that. And she was 18 at that time.
So age doesn't have anything to do with understanding underlying context

Well, some are just bad at picking up underlying contexts, some don't want to see the underlying context and take everything at face value, some just aren't used to looking for underlying contexts ...

There are probably other reasons, but those are the ones I can think of immediately
