Izanami - The BIGGEST Let Down

Is anyone else really disappointed with Izanami?

Firstly, it seems like a total PlotNoJutsu, Itachi just pulls out this random technique that wasn't even hinted towards once - that happens to be the perfect counter for Kabuto and Edo Tensei.

Secondly, the explanation of Izanami is sketchy at best - i'm not sure if it was the specific translation that i read but although i understood the chapter well, i had to reread the chapter before i could fully understand what Kishi was attempting to portray.

Finally, It was never stated directly for Izanami - but shouldn't be a normal assumption that Izanagi AND Izanami should need both Senju and Uchiha DNA to use? - perhaps this will be explained next chapter but its left a lot of people confused.

Kishi got some explaining to do.

What do you think? Did you like Izanami or believe it wasn't well thought out?

no its not like itachi just happened to run into kabuto, which is what you are implying, itachi knew this jutsu was perfect against kabuto, so he found him

it wasnt supposed to be a huge power, but it was supposed to turn the tide. remember, if this works, edo will be ended, which no more madara. this would be a huge change in tide

Im not implying that he just 'ran into kabuto' - he spent 2 chapters heading towards his position.
Im implying that Kishi put this technique into Itachi's arsenal purely for this situation and therefore its plotnojutsu, it doesnt really fit any scenerio accept for this - and maybe if someone else ends up using it on Sasuke XD

Exactly, so the jutsu that so many people created so much hype over was a letdown, thats what im saying lol. it only has one use and it has to fit a certain scenario that just seems to be perfectly the Kabuto fight.

BTW, its not just me personally who 'over-estimated' it -
I have heard from lots of friends that they were let down by izanami - it was supposed to be an awesome technique and a gamechanger.
it instead only applied to this one scenario with the only foreboding being the japanese mythology between Izanagi and Izanami
