Look in all honesty, I think that we can all agree that Hishi tends to overrate characters and then suddenly have them cut off from the anime even though they are so great. In many of the fillers all it took to defeat those powerfull enemies was one rasengan!!!!
So yeah, Hiruzen was probably underrated.

wiki is nothing but a bunch of naruto nerds putting in information they think is right, a couple months ago it said on the wiki in concrete that tobi is Madara, they find out the same crap we do at around the same time, Manga as of right now clearly puts Hashirama on another scale of power, Hiruzen prime I seriously doubt could deal with a dozen or so Mokuton clones.

He's greater than Hashirama in the fact that as a shinobi he never let himself be put in a situation that got him killed early, but Hashirama would murder Hiruzen prime

Kishi always does that and I really hate it when he does it.

And Hiruzen took on Hashirama and Tobirama, then Orochimaru. He's way underrated.

To be fair, even kabuto stated that those Edos were highly under powered because of orochimaru's lack of control(or too much control) over them.

Hizuren reputation might be hype but in the narutoverse but he was no doubt was one of the strongest ninja ever in his prime. There is no arguing with a fact. he let minato handle the kurama because he was the hokage and plot duh

large number for jutsu I see, however. I can have 1000 diffrent techniques to beat the shit outta my girl friend, now does that makes me the strongest wife beater in the world? Hell no! He cant reach all their full potenial, well it comes in hand to master so large amount of techniques, but as I said.....
