Sakura Haruno - A Little Known Ninja

I didnt want to bump an old thread for this so ive linked the official bio above. However having watched/read Naruto since the beginning I cant help but wonder why Sakura has so little back story (and not the one of her having no friends and wanting Sasuke lol).

Almost every other main character from around her age group has a back story and a family:

Sakura (N/A)
Naruto (Uzumaki)
Sasuke (Uchiha)
Lee (N/A - definate adoptive dad in Guy tho)
TenTen (N/A)
Neiji (Hyuga)
Hinata (Hyuga)
Shikimaru (Nara)
Shino (Aburame)
Kiba (Inuzuka)
Ino (Yamanaka)
Choji (Akimichi)

So why is it that given Sakura's main character position, she has no back story. Im certain i saw her mum in one of the very first Naruto episodes, I believe she had long purple hair.

Given most conflicts in this series relate almost exclusively to family bonds it seems weird to not know something about Sakura. She seems like a very under developed character and since the beginning recieved little to no attention from Kakashi lol

Now i know shes a hated character due to her lack of ability and conviction but i would have really liked to have known a little more about her. Were her parents shinobi etc but its just too late now i feel. Does anyone else ever wonder about these things?

(if nothing else this is a break from the normal, who would win Nagato vs Madara type threads lol)

I've thought about it a long time ago, and im a fan of sakura so it does suck to not know about these things
She's a main character so why didnt kishi write anything? Kishi for some reason makes me believe that he doesnt even giv a shit about her

Like I always say Kishi is bad in the creation of female characters exept from Hinata and Kushina in my opinion.
But Kishi especially faild in Sakuras creation,but so much time has pass that i dont care anymore in Sakuras creation.

Same I like her as a character but it just seems like shes intentionally thrown into the background. Kakashi made a song and dance about her having excellent chakra control during their first mission (running up trees) and then never bothered training her to do anything lol even after the time skip he didnt even know how much of a punch she had developed....He's her primary teacher AND he was in and out of Khonoha lol

Yeah lets not get onto Hinata, despite vowing to change and become more confident shes just remained more or less the same lol (and no forgiveness from dad either). Then there was that whole thing where she was with Naruto on a mission and before they go to bed Narutos all like "I was by the lake and there was this beautiful girl controlling the water" and Hinata blushes showing it was her he saw........have we seen this water manipulation? NOPE lol

Kishi doesn't really give a **** about any of his female characters. But Sakura is the one that he hates the most, even though I read an interview where he said he grew fond of her or likes her or something like that. The only back story he gave her was that she was very shy and Ino helped give her confidence. That's it.

Lol its insane to hate your own creation but still thats definately the vibe. I guess if she doesnt die she stands to have a pretty big role extending some primary clans legacy lol

Right, we don't know who are Lee' parents, but he does have a background story. And I think Kishi does not give a sh"· for her cause he admitted not even liked her skecht. If a draftsman does not like its creation, what can you expect it be?

Quite right. I kinda liked her battle against Sasori, but I don't give a sh"· for her. She was just created to fill the hole of female character in the main group (ppl would have charged Kishi of being sexist since the very begging of Naruto if not, and since Naruto success came with its audience expansion, how would he achieve that being called sexist?)
