Hidan the weakest of the akatsuki

It seems like he was was only put in the show for the immortal part, i mean he is a good fighter and can take hits for years but when it comes down to it he couldn't beat any other akatsuki member (maybe sasori)

He could have coped in into pieces, paralyzed him with poison, immobilize him with that cable of his, tear him apart with the Iron Sand

MAYBE sasori? Have you been reading the same manga? dafaq are you on? Against anyother team, Hidan would have been easily dealt with. It was just a bad match up. I mean Kakuzu and Hidan against team 10?

Choji and Ino basically just served as distractions. Kakashi and Shikamaru pretty much did all the work. If it were team Gai, or team kurenai Hidan would have been handle quickly

Sakura received intensive training in dodging, had time to learn how the puppets worked thanks to Chiyo and is quite smarter than Hidan

Sasori's puppets have blades. Hidan wouldnt even be able to defeat Hiroko puppet.
