Uzimaki Clan

What are you guys theories on what happend to the Uzimaki Clan in the Whirlpool Village? we know that they were wiped out, but with little known details just like the Senju (Though it's arguable to say whether they were actually wiped out)

I think that they were powerful clan and rather than the senju and uchiha have more than one enemy one of them wiped them out or at least scattered them to lower enemy numbers.

Most of them got wiped out. I'm hoping there is still a small hidden village full of escaped Uzumaki, so Naruto will meet them at the end and finally have a family
Also I think that Sasori and Gaara are Uzumaki's.

I think they just went into hiding... I mean Kishi hasn't really given Karin any chance at dialogue to acknowledge or explain anything about her clan, or if she even knows she is part of the clan. And how did Orochimaru find her or know who she was?

I wrote a thread about this issue.

I believe that a war was started with the true intention of destroying the Hidden Whirlpool Village. My assumption is that when they got attacked, their family (Senju) tried to rescue/save them and ended getting murdered as well. Because of the worthiness of these foes, the rest of the Uzumaki/Senju scattered over the earth and surpressed their identity in fear of being erradicated.

First of all, its "Uzumaki Clan" not uzimaki.

Uzumaki clan were of of the most powerful clan. They specialized in fuinjutsu, for what they were feared for all. Uzumaki's were distant relatives of senju clan. They have a special type of vast chakra.
