Minatos base speed

People always failed to notice it, but FTG is not the only thing that makes Minatos speed looking insane. Look at this pic for example:

He was near mountains, far from Kyubi who was about to launch a TBB, and without marking him or something like that, he not only managed to reach him, but also summoned Gamabunta on him in an instant, and had time also to teleport him elsewhere when the other ninjas who were near Kyubi at the start(Sandaime also) didn't even notice when Minato came(only when he appeared).

If you look at this scene, you can even compare it with when Naruto came quickly to save Kakashi and Gai against TBB. That's why Kakashi even thought it was his sensei. Tailed beast were also about to launch their TBB but Naruto interven really fast like Minato on my pic, and that was without FTG. That shows his base speed is insane.

When Naruto crushed Kisame with a punch and Bee said he saw nothing else than a yellow flash, Yamato said "he is not on Yondaimes level"

When Tobi tried to kill Naruto, also at that time we could see Minatos base speed, and Tobi himself said that "you live up to the yellow flash moniker", and he didn't even used FTG at that time. That means he consider Minatos base speed fast enough to call him "yellow flash", not only thanks to FTG. This is the pic:

So yes, FTG makes him the fastest ninja ever, but his base speed is already insane and nothing to compare with others(except from Raikage and Naruto obviously)

I agree that in order to make full use of ftg you must have great shunshin and minato has this. Saying that shunshin whether hanzo's or minato could make them travel at great distances within seconds and we saw hanzo bitch out of a fight against nagato when he summoned gedo mazo.

Thirdly the reason why yamato said what he did was because naruto broke his ankle i believe and nothing more. Anyway shunshin and ftg are of similar principle you can even say it mimics ftg therefore it makes sense for tobi to state this. Basically ftg is a higher form of shunsin as stated by the DB;

Many people believe that the moniker 'yellow flash' is due to ftg,but that's wrong. Minato's base speed is insanely high & when he moves, you don't see his body,but a yellow flash of light & thats why he's called so.

Agreed. Minato is one of the fastest ninja in narutoverse. Apart from his FTG which increases his speed greatly, his base speed is also very fast.

No, i can tell you that some people thing he is nothing more than FTG and that without it, he is slower than Ten ten(i exagerate a bit obviously xd)

I've said this many times, but there's always people to convince on this website that his base speed is comparable to Raikage's or Kyuubi-chakra Naruto. Honestly, when Raikage dashed into Minato's face, he probably used FTG because it was more logical to completely outmanuver him, not match his speed.

I also didn't even realize he jumped and summoned Gamabunta that quick in that picture you showed. there was no sign of FTG at the time....how would he have marked Kyuubi beforehand or the empty space above him anyway. obviously it was his base speed that got him across the entire village in only a few seconds. Not FTG.
