secondly, Minato's base speed is faster than A, & he got the moniker 'yellow flash' because of his speed,not because of ftg.
Another thing, you said minato dont have reflexes to use ftg before amaterasu hits him ? he could use ftg after tobi started sucking him into another dimension....got it ?
last thing, naruto doesn't teleport, he moves with his speed.

i don't see the point of this post,, amaterasu doesn't spawn on the opponent. sasuke vs itachi battle shows sasuke running from it,, minato is fast without using the ftg,, just look when he saved naruto from tobi when naruto was a new born,look when he countered that stone ninja's sword with his bare hands and saved kakashi's ass ,,, just stop hating already, move on, he already has kudos going for him whether u like it or not

a few things happen before sasuke' amaterasu- his eyes bleed and you can see that his eyes get strained BUT none of these things are what helped raikage as he moved just before the flames got hold of him. It is not like raikage saw the flames coming out of sasuke's sharingan and coming towards him

the black flames converge exactly on that spot the eye focuses.

there is a time gap between the appearance of the black flames and their catching hold/sticking to the target.

this time gap is infinitesimally small (meaning very very small) but it still exists.

amaterasu can be avoided as long as you have two abilities-
1. ability to react in a split second
2. ability to move in a split second

The raikage actually felt the heat of the amaterasu flames as they appeared (notice how the flames appear below his head while he stares straight at sasuke),
(though he may not be familiar with amaterasu but he wasn't underestimating a mangekyou sharingan fighter) and hence due to his instantaneous reflexes he moved away

notice how manga states-" synapses fire as fast as a flash of light" meaning the raikage has instantaneous reflexes or ability to react in a split second (not the exact biology but the meaning is same)

why should the manga talk about it and not about his speed or strength unless it is relevant to what is coming immediately after?
this right here is the key to amaterasu's weakness

whether it be a fodder ninja or a kage he will feel the heat of the flames as they appear
and now comes the second part. He must exploit the time gap to get away from the focus of the eye to prevent the flames from sticking to him. This cannot be done unless you have the first ability

you must also possess another ability that is the ability to get away in a split second. Raikage used his shunshin no jutsu to get away.

this means that you don't really need to look in the eye to be able to avoid amaterasu. The flames are gonna appear directly on the part of your body the eye focuses, you are gonna feel it and as long as you have both the abilities you will remain unharmed.

minato has both reflexes and ftg

This guy's post pretty much disproved the OP's "theory".
Minato has the reaction time to dodge it, as seen when he was able to dodge A flying at him at full speed.

Minato has FTG which can warp him instantly to any marking of his choosing. He can dodge it

I didn't say that he can ftg AFTER amaterasu hits him, I used the tobi example to show that he has reflexes good enough to do ftg BEFORE amaterasu hits him.

If minato was to look into an uchiha eyes no different to how A looked into sasuke's eyes and said is that the ms, then yes he will dodge amaterasu. If doesnt look into an uchiha's eyes then he'd have no idea what is going on.

People dont understand, what this thread meant (at least i think what this thread meant). First of all minato's base speed isnt on par with raikage v2 so no minato isnt faster or as fast as A in base. Its ftg that makes him faster and its due to this technique that he got his nickname from.

Anyway nobody can deny that if minato was to do what A did and look into sasuke's eyes for example he could evade amaterasu, that is common sense. What im denying (not the op), is that he cannot evade amaterasu if he isnt looking at an uchiha's eyes.

A looked into sasuke's eyes and noted that its the ms, he then reacted and went from v1 raiton to v2. If A had never looked into sasuke's eyes, he wouldnt say is that the ms, therefore he wouldnt react and go to v2 raiton because he has no idea what is going on. Its not really hard to understand that it was eye contact more than anything on A's part which allowed him to react and evade amaterasu. If he wasnt looking into sasuke's eyes he wouldnt have said and reacted to amaterasu therefore he wouldve been caught in it

Why do so many people think dodging something means you have better reflexes than it? There are many factors which are included when dodging something.
As for reflexes, it has already been stated that his reflexes are comparable to V1 Raikage in the Viz Manga.

Viz translation - Shee: Lord Raikage's nerve transmissions and his reaction speed are on par with that of Konoha's yellow flash.....Impressive these folks are keeping up as well as they are. But Lord Raikage has manipulated raiton chakra to augment his reflexes! Not even the sharingan will be able to keep up with him.

Wether V1 reflexes is enough, I don't know. But Raikage used V2 to dodge Sasuke's Amaterasu.
