Why didn't Orochimaru Take the Bodies of Edo Tensei?

I was thinking....

Why didn't Oro just revive a powerful dead shinobi and inhabit it's body? He woiuld be indestructable, and could revive (almost) any shinobi he wanted.

Is there anything wrong with my logic?

For example why didn't he take Hashirama's body.

I think its because, Edo itself isn't a living thing, its just a shell that hold's the persons soul.
Can't really transfer something that's living into something's that's dead.
Also, who would perform Edo?
I believe it wasn't even perfect.

i know what he means. several things could be a facor in this:

1. since the bodies ultimately reject him, it'd be pointless

2. he was after sharingan, so if it was possible to live in edo forever, he wouldnt have done it since he didnt have uchiha dna

IMO it's imposible to revive himself from a body which is Edo.
Plus, he wanted an Uchiha body.

Your right the living cells would get gang green. Plus Oro was able to use Edo Tensi but did not research it and utilize it to its full potential. In addition he had great regenerative abilities but only kaubto had the ability/skill to keep an almost dead person alive, control his own body, down to the cells themselves, and gathered and improve upon the Edo Tensi abilities.
However my question is if he had itachi's dna(to make an edo) then why didn't he implant his dna into his own body and make his own sharengun?

First of all he needs Cursed Seal it's why he created Cursed Seal. Target must be alive, after cursed seal's side effects. If it is something like as you said, even he has Madara's DNA. and yes again user maybe try to reject him like sasuke. He needs to brainwash for that too it's why he's pedo.

Oro beleived that he had reached immortality through his jutsu and didnt need the edo.
he wanted the sharingan and more specifically - the mangekyo
Edo works by placing the soul of another person through DNA into a dead body.
If Oro had done that - he would be pouring his soul into a dead body - irrelevant of if there was another soul in there.

I don't know if you guys all understood what I meant (although most of you did).

I had meant that oro would revive a body, then use the new body as his host by taking control of the body. He could make who he revived submit to his own will and he could have revived an uchiha. If Kabuto had access to the DNA of Madara Uchiha, then I am pretty sure that Oro could have gotten hold of Uchiha DNA (Even if he had to infiltrated the village and steal the uchiha DNA from the grave of one of the many uchiha killed in the massacre).

In regards to the cursed seal aspect - if a shinobi needed to have the cursed seal for Oro to inhabit the body, why didn't he just kill kimimaru for kimimaru's body (before he learned about Sauske)? I don't think his host needed to have the cursed mark... When he found used the prisoner as his host when Sauske did not get there soon enough, I doubt that the prisoner had the cursed mark (There were so many prisoners in the brawl, I doubt all of them had cursed marks).

I do think you guys are right though about his cells dieing from trying to inhabit a dead body. Thanks for the feedback

Why not because he made a kegenki Edo already (bone release, Scorch, Blast, Rinnigan, EMS, ect...) He even incorperated multiple kegenki into his own body. Liquefaction, Bone Release, Auto Absorption of Nature, and twin demon into his body and he clearly had the DNA to do so so why not just clone the same people he made in edo, like kimimaro. Thus A.K.A make a sharingun from either Itachi or Madura.
