So according to itachi, he used izanagi at that 1 moment, so it really does not need pre prep time?

After that events were basically recorded , He talked with kabuto a bit trying to change him, then put him in the loop? iS That what happened?

then why would sasuke still ask "when did he activate izanami"? if kabuto was "affected" the moment itachi used the technique then kabuto should've fall from the top after he stabbed itachi and won't end standing there.

I still think the jutsu was "in effect" from this moment:

It would make much sense this way- itachi began recording the event when kabuto stabbed him, then from the page I link here, that's the time itachi "showed" the "recorded event" to kabuto. that would explain why kabuto was left standing there.

Yes dude, That's when he put him in the genjutsu.. When he used izanmi and started recording was back when he got stabbed etc... Though he could have "put it in effect" A while back, he was talking to kabuto and trying to help him

makes sense. so basically izanami doesn't have that prep time, he could have used it anytime from the moment kabuto stabbed him.

Definately, Itachi already had this fight in the bag. In fact he didn't really need sasuke to be there, he couldve recorded the fight from the first strike. But since Itachi tried to reason with him, this was probably why it took so long.

So instead of trying to reason with him, itachi used kabutos ignorance against him. I think the whole itachi still trying to reason with him during the loop might be feeding to kabutos ego (so this would mean he'll never escape, since he just denies everything itachi says).

Also he was never trying to kill Kabuto that's the thing. He wanted to use it so Kabuto can learn his lesson and cancel edo tensei on his own. 2 bricks with 1 stone.
