It's probably a combination of MS eyes that makes EMS. So just swapping eyes obviously wouldn't work
Although if the person is your brother/sister, I would think you would feel generous towards them and each give each other an eye so you could each see and have one EMS. Of course we are talking about the Uchiha clan......

I don't think a blind set of eyes can be used in order to gain the EMS. Madara was half blind and so was Itachi. Madara and Izuna, I believe, did not do this simple trade because at the time they were not aware that the EMS existed. We all know why Sasuke and Itachi did not have the opportunity to do this. Therefore, considering that the majority of MS wielders have never actually attempted this, we cannot know. So maybe it is possible just to simply trade eyes.

I mean, Rin took out and replaced Kakashi's with Obito's....The siblings eyes look the same, in way. What would you do with the old eyes?
I think Madara may have been blind, because with EMS he'd never worry about losing his power again.

The old eyes are just tossed away. Blind eyes, I believe, are useless.

Hey bro, think about what you are saying here. Do you mean the thread is asking us if completely blind eyes can give EMS when switched?
Because I assume he meant "would both people switching (that already have MS) both get EMS?" I know you can switch eyes that already started to go blind, just like you commented. You can even take a dead persons eyes, and dead people's eyes are "closed" but not sealed i guess there may be a difference.

This, also I think it was said very few people have unlocked MS maybe they didn't have the chance to swap (And yh eyes that have lost their light (blind ones) I don't think they can be used for ems) or maybe didn't have a brother

I'm saying, Madara and Izuna didn't do it because they didn't know about EMS. Madara was half blind, and so he took his brothers eyes. It was pure coincidence, IMO, that he obtained the EMS. I believe it was sheer luck that Madara managed to find out how to unlock the EMS. So what i'm saying is, it could be possible to simply switch eyes in order to gain EMS (no-one has tried it so we cannot know) and it was simply coincidence that out of the two pairs of people who could've achieved this dojutsu through this means (straight eye swap), two of them were blind aswell (Itachi and Madara), so even if the 4 brothers swapped eyes, we still would not get a valid answer.

1) Are you SURE that they didnt know about EMS? Yes, it was stated that MS was first unlocked by Madara and Izuna. But once the entire clan saw this, I'm sure it prompted alot of Uchiha Shinobi to try this until it was replicated by many shinobi. Which means after Madara/Izuna got it other Uchiha learned the secret and started attempting to do the same. Which brings me to my point #2.
2) Secondly, I'm sure that the Uchiha Stone Tablet was MORE DECIPERABLE after Madara recieved the MS eyes. It would only make sense that the creator of the stone showed you how to achieve the "next eye level" by the one you already achieved. In other words, having Sharigan eyes reading the Tablet would reveal how to get the MS, having MS eyes reading the tablet shows you how to get EMS, and EMS eyes reading the tablet shows you how to get the Rinnegan. Itachi learned from the monument how to get MS, how else can this be explained...?
3) Lastly, by Itachi's last words in the last manga, the Uchiha had a habit of Spaming Kinjutsus and taking more eyes after they were sealed. I'm sure eventually someone else may have been able to accomplish this feat that has not been mentioned as of yet. This is because of the practice of taking eachothers eyes that came from the over useage of Izanagi. FYI

Maybe, in madaras case it couldnt happen because neither madara or izuna knew about a EMS. Madar only wanted to regain the light in his eyes but only after taking his brothers eyes did he realise that it becomes an EMS. We also dont know if the process involves fusing both eyes to gain it in that case what you are suggesting becomes impossible. If its just swapping your eyes with the other persons then what you said is possible
