Student surpassed the Master (Theory)

If we look at students and sensei's then we will see a postitive correlation of how student tend to surpass their sensei's. Some examples:

Naruto > Jiraiya
Sasuke > Orochimaru and Kakashi
Kabuto > Orochimaru
Kisame > Fuguki Suikazan
Shikamaru > Asuma
Choji > Asuma
Kushina > Mito
Minato > Jiriaya
Gaara > Baki
Sasori > Granny Chio

etc, etc, etc.. The list goes on.
These are all the students in their prime being greater then there sensei's in their prime.
My point being that it would also make sense to say the Hiruzen surpassed both Hashirama and Tobimara. Seeing how this student - Sensei pattern works.

Not a hiruzen thread, i just put his name last because i know he was one person people say didnt surpass his master.. But this is to see if its say to say that students do surpass their master/sensei

well not everyone can be surpassed by there students.
sometimes it happens and sometimes it cant be done. depends on the student and the sensei ofcourse.

Naruto has the tailed best inside him it was a matter of time before he surpassed jiraiya, sasuke is an uchiha and developed his sharingan to elite levels, MS, susaano, Amaterasu etc which is why he surpassed kakashi and oro, Kabuto absorbed oro did he not? Kisame killed his sensei who considered rather strong himself so I'll give you that one. Shikamaru is smarter than asuma, he not be as physically imposing than him, but if they were to fight I believe Shika would out smart him and beat him that way, but not in terms of talent. Choji and asuma while he is chojis team leader I don't see him as his "sensei". The rest I agree with.

Now to your point to that's how hiruzen would be stronger than hashirama I don't agree with that logic. Hiruzen has many jutsu in his arsenal, but the number of jutsus you know doesn't always equal strength, oroshimaru proved that. Hashirama has techniques and abilities that the 3rd simply doesn't have. Hashirama is stronger and that's all there is to it.
