I know that in order to activate the sharingan you must have a near death expierience.Depending on the uchia the sharingan abilities are going to differ(i think so).to activate the mangykyo sharingan someone close to you must die.the mangykyo sharingan allows sasuke and itachi to perform amateratsu and susanno.The next step is the eternal mangykyo sharingan.now i don't really know about it too much so i'ma leave it up to a Uchia expert

The sharingan literally means copy eye wheel, And it is a dojutsu that is exclusive to the famed uchiha clan. Sharingan’s have lots of ability’s, The first being the ability to give charka color, Allowing the user to differentiate different charka from one another, Giving them the ability to tell if a person is under a genjutsu because that person's chakra flow would be irregular. The second ability of the sharingan is that it gives the user an incredible clarity of perception, Allowing them to easily recognize genjutsu and different forms of chakra, This also gives the user the ability to pick up on tiny details, letting them read lip movements and mimic things like hand seals and pencil movements. The Third ability of the sharingan is the ability to memorize almost any jutsu that the user witnesses, (Not kekkei genkai techniques.). The Sharingan's fourth ability gives the user the ability to cast genjutsu by simple eye contact between both parties.

Now, deactivate it and when you leave the hospital, you can use it in battle. Congrats!
