The only reason i bring up the Third ninja war is cause it is unfair to bring up the young people like Naruto or Sauske because they were lke 20 years away they have time to surpass him if he was in their generation and he was still getting stonger it would be a different story. I dont like to compare old characters to young ones and Madara and Hashirama yea but not Hiruzen. As i said Hanzou was stronger than the Second hokage so the Third wouldnt stand a chance.

That doesn't make sense. The Sannin did well against him when he was in his prime. They would have absolutely demolished him once they reached their prime. Any one of them could have handed his a** to him.

Incorrect! The sannin did nothin but survive with a whole blatoon on their side to back them up vs hanzou by his self!

HAnzou was so powerful and respected that if he wanted them dead he would of killed them but instead admired their hearts and abilities and made them legendary to the world and for years to come!

Jman even after having sage mode and seeing and hearing the many powerful elite ninjas in his life time still couldnt believe a ninja was able to kill HAnzou!

It took The 6 paths of pain all at once knowing hanzous secrets and having a plan to kill him! Plus the fact that the pain body's are dead and dont breath, it was the perfect opp for hanzo and Nagato knew this.

Hanzou is crazy OP and crazy slept on! I can back anything i say about hanzou up and will if need be!

Are you serious after all he did hes not in the freakin top 15 nobody could beat him except Pain. And i dont think anyone can get past the 6 paths of Pain without info.
