[Theory] Did shin and itachi both have the same illness?

The reason why i say this is because in the latest episode called "Sai and Shin" i noticed something that i couldn't ignore even if i tried.

In the flashback where it shows the story of sai and shin from when they trained together till shin's death both when they're training together and when they're forced by danzo to fight to the death it shows shin coughing up blood and when sai questioned him about it he said that it's incurable then died soon after, This isn't the first time we've seen this remember when sasuke fought itachi and itachi started coughing up blood just like shin.

Anywayz what i'm getting at is that i believe SOMEONE caused both sai and itachis ilness because they had the same symtoms i.e coughing up blood, saying that how and where did itachi find the medication to prolong his life so that he can live long enough for sasuke to finally get revenge on him for slaughtering the uchiha clan i mean just how long did he have the illness for and why was he trying to hide it from sasuke oh saying that shin tried to hide his illness from sai till that fatefull day when they both had to fight to the death then shin decided to tell sai about his ilness. I could be wrong but then i might not be could it be possible that danzo may have caused both their illnesses and if they're not the only ones to have then who else?.

Oh and before i forget even though after itachis death at the hands of sasuke tobi told sasuke that itachi was ill and that he prolonged his life with medication so that he dies fighting sasuke why did sasuke when sasuke was battling the kages at the kage summit did sasuke assume that itachi's illness was caused by susano'o?.

Ok this may sound silly but let's also assume that itachi's illness was caused by susano'o why hasn't sasuke who now has E.M.S and has been spamming susano'o started coughing up blood if you ask me someone in the narutoverse knows something about shin and itachi's illness and the people at the top of my list are:.Danzo
Tobi
Orochimaru
Kabuto
The unknown guy we see with danzo and orochimaru when they're trying to recruit kabuto's mom to root.

Its quite the theory, I always thought that Shin and Sai were just Sasuke and Itachi remakes, guess not :S

The symptoms of their sicknesses is probably a coincidence. Sick people in manga's always seem to cough up blood. I've always had a suspicion that Itachi had root/Danzo connections. And that Shisui was part of root and activated his MS by passing the "final test" in root.

What if danzo IS responsible cuase he had secrets that he didn't want anybody outside of root to find out which is why he put a seal on all root members tongues so that should they say anything i think it's said that the seal either paralyzes them or kills them i can't remember also even though itachi usedto be part of anbu but what if he also used to be part of root?

Both of their diseases as depicted by Shin (anime) and Itachi (manga/anime) remind me of Tuberculosis (i.e. "Consumption"). The symptoms fit pretty well actually. I don't know what Kimimaro had. Lol at all the amazing things they can do with medical ninjutsu, but they can't come up with antibiotics. Yes, antibodies to poisons, but not antibiotics no jutsu, to my recall.

Note I could be wrong about both the disease (it's only speculation), and I may misremember about whether there are antibiotics.
