Kurenai Yuhi is underrated and/or useless

We haven't seen her in any of the major battles in Naruto especially in Shippuden. Makes me think she's not worthy of having the title "Jonin." Team 8 should have had another captain who is more capable than her. However, most of her fighting styles are not yet shown, she might/could be an incredible ninja. She is the only principal Jonin to not have much screen time and story.

She has been pregnant for so long, she could have at least joined the war after giving birth. Her powers are mystery to me that's why I want to see what she can really do.

Kurenai was obviously qualified or else she wouldn't have been given the position. Pretty sure when kunoichi get pregnant, they're not exactly advised to do ninja stuff and when you're baby is born and your husband is dead, that also takes prirority over ninja stuff. The only important Jounin sensei in Konoha we've seen would be Kakashi and Gai. Asuma's dead, Kurenai's taking care of their baby. They were pehaps...average jounin level but don't take them lightly, Kurenai is strong and if we only have a brief encounter with Itachi, a filler, and statistics to tell us that then so be it.

Yeah, join the war right after giving birth to a new born child, because the child doesn't need her or anything, she totally has a husband to help take care of it

Thanks for your opinion. I would love to see her jutsus since according to her statistics, she has 4 or 4.5 Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, but she was only shown using Genjutsu. I think it would have been better if she also fought Asuma during the war with Asuma's team. It could have been a romantic reunion. Lol xd

THANK YOU for understanding when a woman's pregnant that doctors don't advice her jumping around, using chakra, getting hit with jutsu and techniques of god knows what.

Give her a few months of maternal leave, find her a babysitter and ask her to go fight lol, I don't really think we'll see much of her anymore. Go back to the first part of the anime with the mission involving the Kurama clan. It's filler but you can get an estimation of her abilities from there.

Yeah she could have used a babysitter, or doesn't she have any parents anymore or relatives that could take care of her baby. During Tobi's attack on Konoha, Itachi took care of Sasuke so that their parents could help defend the village. Oh well, maybe she wants to be a hands-on mom to Asuma Jr.
