Gaara (Kazekage) vs Mei (Mizukage)

Sand is now mud thus difficult to manipulate.

The Gourde like the water will get in. And Do it maybe the beach you use to go are muddy or something but Puerto Rico beaches since sand is clean that does work unless you have water and sand at the same time at your hand then yea xd

I live in Greece the beaches are not muddy I just remember that when we used to build sandcastles we used the sand from the edge of the beach that was close to the sea cause that was heavier and sturdier.
So in my mind wet sand>dry sand when it comes to weight.

It's been shown that water makes the sand too heavy to be useful. Plus, her acid mist would corrode his defense, and her lava style would be able to melt his sand. Gaara's ultimate defense is impressive, but Mei has the advantage. I think she would win, mid difficulty.

First, I don't remember water making Gaara's sand heavy. If you're referring to Gaara's fight with the 2nd or was that the 3rd Mizukage then that's invalid cuz his water had oil in it Second, I think Gaara can fly high enough to evade the lava. And I dont see how you can "melt" sand.

Dry sand is composed of individual particles with air in the spaces between grains. When you add water to a bucket of dry sand, the water replaces the air. Although the bucket is already full of sand, you can pour in quite a bit of water, adding that much more weight.

We get your point bro but I don't think the water will make a huge difference in slowing down the sand unlike the other Mizukage's water where it was almost impossible for Gaara to bend the sand.:ghehe:

yes lava melts sand however..... mei doesnt have much lava to counter all of gaaras overwhelming jutsus especially sand tsunami

of course mei would win. this is common sense. whatever gaara does, mei can nullify it with lava release, water style, or boil release. not to mention fire style. lava and fire naturally hardens sand. gaara can't control molten rock or glass. also, the water would make gaara's sand heavier, thus making it more difficult to use for him. mei's suiton attack she used to counter madara's fire style should be ample defense/offense if she needed it. 40+ hand signs in an instant is very impressive. this is a bad match up for gaara

Won't Gaara bury her in sand before she can do any of that? And can't Gaara make his sand evade the incoming lava or fire techs? Remember, Gaara is a ranged fighter while Mei is a mid-ranged/close combat fighter. I'm not saying Mei would get crushed by Gaara but I just think that Gaara would TOTALLY ANIHILATE her.
