Gaara (Kazekage) vs Mei (Mizukage)

So here's the setting:

They're fighting in the place where Gaara fought with Kimimaro before.

Gaara doesn't have Shukaku anymore but he knows all the new techs he's been showing in the manga lately. Gaara can use his sealing techs if he wants to. He has his ultimate defense still (since we found out that it wasn't Shukaku who was the secret to the ultimate defense but Gaara's mom).

Mei is sexy as usual and she's intent on killing (so is Gaara). She has her mastery of Suiton, Doton, and Katon. Not to mention her 2 kekei genkai which are Lava Style and Solid Mist Style. Mei is proficient in taijutsu (or so I heard) but I doubt that'll really help her in a fight against Gaara. Mei can also summon 2 kinds of animals, sorry if I can't really remember them but I think one of them was a coyote?

Yes I'm a fanboy of Gaara but I'm also a fanboy of Mei except she isn't really praised or anything, I just wished Kishi would make her a little bit more important. So let me know what you guys think!!

It's been shown that water makes the sand too heavy to be useful. Plus, her acid mist would corrode his defense, and her lava style would be able to melt his sand. Gaara's ultimate defense is impressive, but Mei has the advantage. I think she would win, mid difficulty.

Your lack of info is lame normal water doesnt make sand havier -_- (the one the other mizukage use is oil water the oil is the thing making it havy because is sticky)

What makes you think she can protect from All side attack coming at her Under,Up,Front,Back she has no speed to deal with it(am not saying she slow but agains sand almost everyone is)

her mist is mostly useless it can only be use close combat and closed room garra being a long range it wont work

lava is strong but it also slow and sand take time to melt even a lighting can barely melt sand

The Sand garra use is in a open space where the water will just travel down unlike a close place like a bucket where the water and sand are together and water cant escape

Sand gets heavier even without a bucket just go to the beach tell a friend of yours to throw you some water when you throw some sand.

Sand goes down as you said but with the water on top of it thus it becomes heavier.

The Gourde like the water will get in. And Do it maybe the beach you use to go are muddy or something but Puerto Rico beaches since sand is clean that does work unless you have water and sand at the same time at your hand then yea xd
