[Discussion] Is it bad to date older girls?

I was just wondering if dating older girls can be weird to others.

I really like this girl (who happened to have graduated from college last april) and I'm an incoming sophomore. She's 20 going 21 this June, and I'm 18 going 19 this August.

I really like her to the extent of supporting her through moral support or even financial. But somehow something inside me tells me to drop the whole thing already as I don't stand a chance.

I'm sorry, I'm just confused and stuff.

Just remember a lot of women don't age well. Especially if they have an ugly mother be aware that hotty might not be hot for long. The older they are, the closer they are to being old and ugly. I mean 3 years older than you thats not really much older anyways though, when I opened this thread I thought you were going to be talking about like 30-40+ year old women or something. Main tip for long term relationships if you care about looks, look at their mother.

That's not even that much older, it's only a two year difference.

If you both have things in common, and you actually like her, than I see no problem in trying for it.

Huh, well, it's not about the looks. I'm fascinated and infatuated with her talents and stuff. The last thing I look for in a lady is the looks (which I consider as a bonus), I find the inner qualities more interesting and fulfilling.

That's exactly my defense. I just think that older girls have more experiences in life, like they know what they really want and stuff. But somehow, it's painful to realize that most of the older girl population desire older guys as well. -_-

Well, technically, I wouldn't say I'm "happy" with it. Given my time remaining on earth, I can even say that I'm slacking off. We are in speaking terms, yes, but it's just that some women do lack the sense of learning what is inside a guy's heart (since some just assume guys befriend them and stuff just to get in their pants).

Also, I've already told this problem to my mom (since I never met my dad). She just said the cliche: "Just follow your heart" and there's not much impact with that advice. I just wanted to know other people's opinions (as the site is inhabited by many cultures and nationalities).

It depends on both of you, if you both like (or love each other truly) then it doesn't depend on what others think. Also, there is a very small age difference and both of you are 18 and above. And good luck.
