[Discussion] Does Sasuke even know of the rinnegan's existance?

A lot of theories have included a power up to Sasuke by evolving his EMS to the rinnegan.
However, does sasuke even know of the rinnegan's existance?

Lets look at the facts:
1.Sasuke never encountered Nagato or any of his paths.
2.Sasuke never saw Tobi post Konan fight and in turn with the rinnegan.
3.Sasuke has not seen Edo Madara.

So how is it Sasuke will obtain a jutsu he doesn't even know exist?

It will be weird, but I'm not sure if it will ruin the storyline. Some people want him to get it and some don't, but I'm fine with either outcome.
