Ok i just finished reading this weeks manga and i was wondering if any of you think Izanami and Shisui Kotoamasukami are similar. Which would make sense for Tobi wanting his eye even more. If they are indeed similiar. The difference would be Kotoamatsukami doesnt blind you(immediatly at least. Its still mangekyou so eventually it will). Do you think this is true or they are completely different?

I mean Kotoamatsukami changed edo itachis destiny with a stronger genjutsu which is similar to what happened now

and kotoamatsukami operates in real time and izanami operates whit the victim being under a genjutsu.

The Question is why does Tobi have so many Sharingans?

and yes I believe these techs are related in some way.

nope they are completely different,

Kotoamatsukami is a genjutsu which can control a person without them knowing.

BUT

Izanami is a genjutsu which traps you in a time loop... (from what i have learned reading the latest manga)
and it costs you , your sharingan eye.

This true im only saying the similarity that they both can change the outcome in an instant. However if itachi never stated he was going to use izanami it would be unknown. It was stated for the reader so that our questions will be answered and a whole bunch like this one for example lol will arise with its answer

Their purpose is the same, it basically lets the caster do what he wants to happen to the victim. But, Izanami changes the destiny, like lets say Kabuto killed Naruto (for example) and then Izanami is set (or in this case, looped) so that Kabuto's destiny is to not kill Naruto, and i'm guessing that Kotoamatsukami would just be like "don't even think of killing naruto." and kabuto thinks he's making that decision under his own judgment. thats my theory of the 2 genjutsus.

with a 10 year gap between times when you can use the kotoamatsukami it would take a good chunk of time to go blind as long as you were careful with MS moves. the 2 are very similar though, all differences have already been stated so im not goin to repeat em all. +rep sir

Thats a good example man. I was wondering how they would be different but this helped alot. I wonder noe if the two were used against each other which would win? To be in a neverending loop hole of izanami or think your casting izanami when kotoamatsukami makes you think you are.

:sy:

they are so different genjutsus, how do you think they are similar ?

Izanami takes time to activate, so no it doesn't change the outcome in an instant
and if you are talking about outcomes...
many jutsus can change the direction of a battle in an instant.

whats your point ?U_U

Nope kotoasukami is mind control to the max
Inazami is an, illusion which ones doomed to repeat whatever the caster chooses hence the "destiny in my hands" & "stuck in this loop" lines

Completely different if he had kotoasukami this would've been over from the start

KA can stop you being controlled by the user of Edo Tensei.

I don't think Izanami can. It just gets you stuck in an infinite loop forever.

Not saying this is the main difference, it's just a difference I noticed between the two.
