Agreed, he has the intelligence but not the strength. Someone like Minato or Itachi make up for that.

Kakashi is smarter. Yes it is Naruto saying it but he is saying it as if it is a known fact in Konoha. And this took place about a year ago, Shikamaru hasn't had any intelligence upgrades since then.


I would bet that Shikaku is smarter than Kakashi though.

he could be if sombody trained him, think about it naruto went from kakashi ,to jariya he should have upgraded his teacher's
