This might not be 100% true but i believe kishimoto is still using DBZ character to develop his own character
Naruto=Goku
Because they both goofy or stupid sometime and have some serious moment in battles.
Sasuke=Vegata
Both alway want power and rely on the dark side for more strenght
Kakashi=Picolo
They both good teacher ,knowledgeable in battle,various skill and cool
Kabuto= Cell
Gai=Satan
They both cannot use their power .Satan is a saiyan or have some of their bloodline but donot know how to fly or use his power.Hower he have super strenght.While gai donot use jutsu all the time but rely on his strenght /taijutsu in battle.
Gohan= Konohamaru
Naruto taught konohamaru his resengan and also konoahamaru using that ability even more powerful or effective than naruto,similar to goku and gohan.
Sakura = Chi -Chi
They all annoying and like to nagg and hit people.Chi-chi like to shout or fight goku while sakura like to behave the same to naruto on a daily basis
For those who were DBZ fans will understand what i comming from.
We taught Tobi would be something like Cell from DBZ but kabuto took that role.Both kabuto and cell had their base stage and evidentually taken other people dna to be completed.
The only person in DBZ that may be similar to Tobi or madara is MaJin buu because when majin buu in the early of the chapter was more like a troll turning people into candy and making fun of people similar to tobi with dediara during his battle with sasuke.
Majin buu eventually got rage during an incident in the series causing himself to split into 2 being .A good side and a bad side.
This dark buu (above) eventually turn to this (below)
In the naruto series we know the good and the bad side could relate to ying and yang.Madara (YING) could have split himself after he gotten hisharama (yang) dna into two being of himself.The real madara die later down while the new madara (yang) with hisharama dna could end up being tobi.Tobi is yang or good because he wanted peace in the world by using tsukyomi .eventhough madara and tobi are same people at the begining,tobi still have madara mindset or his method of accomplishing his plans
Madara motive was to get ying and yang abilities to be complete but he maybe die from battle womb from hashirama with old age .Madara maybe depended on Tobi to ressurrect him again so that he will merge once again to be the next SO6P
As i said before this might be 100% true but we see some similarity or some trends .We Just have to wait and see
