Einstein wrote this riddle last century and said that 98% of the world’s population would not be able to solve it.

• There are 5 houses that are each a different colour.
• There is a person of a different nationality in each house.
• The 5 owners drink a certain drink. They each smoke a certain brand of cigarettes and also have a certain pet. No owner has the same pet, smokes the same brand of cigarettes nor drinks the same drink.
• The question is. “Who has the fish?”

CLUES

1. The British man lives in the red house.
2. The Swedish man has a dog for a pet.
3. The Danish man drinks tea.
4. The green house is to the left of the white house.
5. The owner of the green house drinks coffee.
6. The person that smokes Pall Mall has a bird.
7. The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The person that lives in the middle house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The person that smokes Blend, lives next to the one that has a cat.
11. The person that has a horse lives next to the one that smokes Dunhill.
12. The one that smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to a blue house.
15. The person that smokes Blend, has a neighbour that drinks water.

GOOD LUCK!!!

How can you assume that? The fish might be in a pond too deep for the cat to fish in. The cat owner might also find fish to be too much work.

I probably could have solved it if I had tried, I am pretty good at problem solving and riddles, but why bother? Part of good problem solving is knowing how to research. I had the answer in under a minute without even reading the whole question. My answer to everything is Google it. I am yet to find a problem Google can't solve.

I challenge anyone to find a riddle that can't be solved with Google.

Then you didn't solve it. You merely used someone else's answer. In the programming field you are called copy and paste monkeys.

True, but I didn't care enough to put in the effort to solve it, my giving a **** was limited to be willing to type it into my Google search bar.

Does it really matter how the answer was found? And I didn't put an answer in so I didn't ruin it for people who did want to solve it right. But does the method of achieving a goal make a difference if the final result is the same?

You can assume it because cats eat fish. And it never states the fish is a pet. You just assume it is. Therefore leaving the riddle with two possible answers.

Not at all. My coding instructors from time to time still have to use google for answers in coding. And one has been doing it for 42+ years. Google is there to make finding the answer seasier why not use it ^^
