Kakashi's 1000 jutsus, really?

Kakashi has been hyped with knowing over 1000 jutsus. But he's been around for nearly 600 chapters and hasn't used more than 30 jutsus. When debating Kakashi in a versus thread the obvious counter some fanboy makes is "Kakashi knows a thousand jutsus so he probably has one that would defeat "x".
I think Kakashi has had enough of an opportunity to use the alleged jutsus.
I hope we are at a point where we can say, if he hasn't used it then he doesn't have it.
Who said the majority of those techs aren't basic. For instance: A thousand years of death xd. Bunshin no jutsu. How basic are those techs? All in all, it seems like the 1000 jutsus hype should be buried as it serves no real point at this time.
What do you guys think? Is it time to let this hype go? Or do we feel it's still valid and contributes to argumentation?

He's copied them yes, that's what the manga/anime states.
Doesn't mean he's going to be using them all,
some are better than others obviously.

Personally, I don't view Hiruzen as being that powerful. I mean that may be because of the lack of power in part 1. But yeah... The shuriken multiplication jutsu, the rooftile jutsu, the earth and fire jutsu (which wasn't lava) didn't impress me very much.

he does know them but he only uses his best jutsus in a battle the rest are probly weak

Well its pretty impossible to do 1000 jutsu in one battle.... Plus he always showcases a new move in every important fight

He didn't want to blow himself up but in the end had to seal his soul.
In part one Tsunade was one of the most destructive characters. The Powerlevel in pat 1 to now is completely different. But to guage his power we have to use what we saw from 69 year old Hiruzen and it wasn't that great. He knows every jutsu in the village besides kgs. But if the Nara Clan, the Akimichi Clan, the Aburame clan, the Inuzuka clan, the Yamanaka clan, the Uchiha clan all use jutsus that can't be copied what is really left for Hiruzen to copy considering the legendary three left the village decades before. He should have been able to use ftg unless he didn't bother learning it but bothered to learn shiki fujin. What about rasengan and raikiri. According to Tsunade only Jiraiya and Minato had the rasengan. If he had the genjutsus of a genjutsu specialist why not use that on Oro. Why not seal the first and second with uzumaki seals? Why was he completely unable to break the barrier? After Minato died 13 years before Oro attacked why didn't he find another successor? He knew he'd grow weaker overtime and wouldn't be able to adequately protect the village. Why were the Anbu so in awe of the doton and katon combination. When a lava style is far more impressive. What took him so long so summon Enma?

He can't use each and every one even if he knows them. They might probably even take up a lot of chakra and they might all not even be powerful.
