Nagato, Madara, Tobi

I've been wondering, since Marada or Tobi gave the Rinnegan to Nagato with the propouse of ressurecting Madara and since Nagato was aware that he would ressurect Madara, why did he thougt that Tobi was Madara?
It makes no sense, he knew he was meant to ressurect Madara with his Rinnegan, so Madara was dead, why he always called Tobi Madara?

Maybe Madara asked Tobi for telling Nagato the truth in order to ressurect him. But Tobi didn't act according to plan and pretended himself as the true Madara. Thus Nagato couldn't act according Madaras plan.

Nagato may not have been aware of his actual purpose. Thus, he did not know Tobi wasn't Madara.

They didn't think Tobi was Madara. When Itachi was with Nagato when they were Edo's they both referred to Tobi as Madara. Even Konan referred to Tobi as Madara before Tobi killed her. I think Tobi does indeed have Madara's face but he is obviously some type of clone of some sort.

Tobi indeed to does have Madara's face that is certian. Tobi was going to show Sasuke his face as proof of who he was. Its just like how the 5 kages knew that it was Hashirama's face on Madara's chest when it was revealed. So they know what these guys look like.

Yeah and maybe Tobi was the one who was commissioned to tell Nagato the truth and the purpose for having the Rinnegan actually. But It seems Tobi had his own plans.

Because if people knew he had Madara's face then it would attract a lot of attention and place a huge target on his back since Madara is the "face" of evil or something like that. I don't think Madara is "evil" in that exact term, he is just fighting for his own cause because of his brothers death.

I dont like speculating but if i was to make an educated guess

Nagato was groomed to be an extremely powerful Rinnegan user for the sole purpose of reviving Tobis real Body and Madara,the reason why he was chosen was because of his life force that means Rinnei Tensei can bring people who have been dead a long time if concentrated at the expense of the users life/life force.

Im guessing the way Nagato awakened the rinnegan was through a trick with zetsu clones pretending to be his parents when in reality they never existed.He was born with the sharringan and through Tobi he awakened the EMS then all that was left was a another life changing experience he already had the Senju/Uzumkai Dna inside him

I believe Madara could be Nagatos father as well but thats my opinion

Any decent ninja is able to appear as others. So by having his face means close to nothing. What I'm most interested in is how similar his abilities are to kakashi's MS. I won't say that he is Obito but there is a strong relationship between tobi's identity and the "death" of Obito

But at the latest when Tobi revealed himself as the true Madara, there wasn't a reason for wearing a mask any more, or why did he take on a new mask after his old was destroyed, while the nation already knew Tobi as Madara who announced the 4th ninja war? He wore the mask in order to hide his true identity and to impersonate himself as the true Madara - In order to wake more sensation.

Imo Madara gave his Rinnegan to Nagato due to a special Jutsu (or whatever) in order to be revived by him again. Tobi, who was part of this plan, was intended to tell Nagato the truth and the reason for possessing the Rinnegan. But as I already said, Tobi had maybe his own plans.

It was interesting when Nagato died Tobi said something like this "Nagato that brat! That jutsu was to use it for me"
