Heyyy. Welp i was thinking about alot of banns and mods and all that good stuff. and it came to my conclusion that No regular member has a say in anything. No difference being made or anything. Regular NB Citizens. That can have a say so in ANYTHING. so it hit me.

~NARUTOBASE COURT~

I know we have one already but that seems more so of the lines of shits and giggles. I mean foreal foreal. I see it as this. If we have a very active member on nb who clearly knows people and they are on the verge to get bann. they have a right to a Trial. As plenty know. Mods are humans so they might misread, interpret or just plain up having a bad day. So here is what im thinking

The judge has to be Non-Bias. Who likes, or Dislikes both of them or simply dont know them (Gonna be hard since the only people who can bann is mods so the judge might always know them)

The banny gets 1 lawyer of his/her choosing. If he do not get one he is out of luck.

The banner gets 1 person of him/her choose. same as the banny if they dont want one then meh

The 7jury people must not have no relations to the banny or banner and they must be appointed by the judge and kept in secret till the day of the trail

No calling people to the stand as that creates too much work

The Trial last for about 2-3 days and the jury have 2days to decide if hes innocent or not. The judge vote should count as 2 votes

This should/could be done in the manner a mod disrespects or violate a regular member also.

Condtions

-Has to be Active on NB or a member for 10months
-It has to be a real reason to want court and cant summon court if you obv trolled a thread mega hard.

-Have to be on the verge of bann

-Bann has to be longer then 3weeks

-Until the court day is set and done they are placed in dention or banned and unbanned, undentioned on that day. if the court day took 10days and you are banned for 10days till court and you are deemed guilty. Those days dont mean SHIYIT!

I personally know this will be hard work but it Equals out the power and balance in NB kinda. at let the people feel they have somewhat a say so in something. Im sure their are times where people got wrongfully banned and nothing could be done. Human Mistakes and Human Dislikes. anyways. give your 2cents guys

Well it seems cool but the judge should be a mod or admin at all times

Just no.

Mod's/Admins are already pretty much the court system of NB. They are the ones that give out infractions and bans and the they do it accordingly. They are given this power as they are already trusted to use it for all the right reasons. What you're saying is just a waste of time. If someone deserves to be banned, they will be banned, if not they wont be, but will have the punishment best suited for their "crime".

Also, we used to have court cases on NB for a laugh anyway, nothing too serious but was still good fun.

I disagree. This has been suggested several times before, it simply won't happen.
Also, when registering, did you even read that wally before you hit "I accept"?. You have rights on this website, but for certain things, admin make decisions they don't have to provide explanations for if they don't want to.

Its a forum not a government we dont need to enforce democracy. also the benefits of juries in real life:
keeps democracy alive
allows for moral decisions
can decide on matters of fact not law
allows for unbiased views
pooling of ideas
e.t.c
do not apply to a forum so a court would have no benefit it would just create alot of extra work. also there is already an appeal system with 3 tier so if they all agree you should be banned or what ever you punishment is then you probably deserve it.

Of corse mod's don't like some people, it's only natural, they are human. But they are still trusted to not abuse their power.

An example, a perfect example is the case involving Dragon Lord. I'm sure cali wouldn't like him after what dragon lord did, but he explained every reason why he was banned. Because he can't abuse his power. His actions come with reasoning. I'm pretty sure certain staff don't like me, but i don't get infractions, because they can be trusted.

In the end, it's their job as they are trusted to put their emotions aside for the sake of the community.

No. This has been suggested before a while back. I can make an entire list as why not, but I'm too tired and under no circumstances we're ever going to do it for the simple fact that we do not gain anything by it, but we do need to put in a lot of effort, thus we make a loss.

There are a lot of practical and moralistic issues with that idea, but in the end it's really futile as no offense but I'm not really going to give much value to a supposedly neutral court. If I want to punish someone I will punish that person, no matter what a court might think of it.
