Without Sasuke, Naruto wouldn't be as powerful as he is.

Honestly, if Sasuke and Naruto hadn't been teammates, Naruto wouldn't have had the rivalry with Sasuke that pushed him to become who he is. Yes, he might have gotten there eventually, but Sasuke was the building block for where Naruto is now.

same goes for sasuke

it's called rivalry

I know. I was just saying, some people make a huge deal over Naruto and Sasuke. Without each other, does anyone really know where they would be?

without sasuke, naruto wouldn't have anyone to rise up against

without naruto, sasuke wouldn't have seen the rasengan and left the village to get power from orochimaru

Naruto and Sasuke are the basic yin and yang of the series, all shonen manga series has some basic rivalry that has to be kept balanced, by the end of the series they will still both be balanced i believe thats why i never join in Sasuke v Naruto discussions at any point in the plot

I'm sure he would have found a new rival but there is no way he would have pushed naruto like sasuke did. The way sasuke refused to acknowledge him and his leaving the village was a key part in Naruto striving to become as strong as he is, granite he had other motivation as well

he got pissed with naruto's growth and went to orichimaru in the first place.

I thought he was more pissed at the fact he couldn't even touch Itachi. Granted, Naruto didn't help anything. Wasn't his lust for revenge that drove him to Oro?

Of course rivalry is what makes all anime characters train harder to get stronger.
