Sasuke's Genjutsu

Because of today's chapter people have been talking about whether Sasuke has tsukuyomi or not.

Personally I think he does, because of the simple fact that he casts it with one eye. The same eye. Both times. The first time with MS it seemed to cause pain, but it wasn't so evident the second time with EMS.

If occular genjutsu can be cast with both eyes then why use one?

I'm pretty sure he just used regular genjutsu in both of those situations.

sasuke got 2 eyes fuse as one.Therefore a normal sharingan genjutsu is increase by 2 because of two eyes power from ems

basically
Normal uchiha without ems
normal sharingan-> normal ms

double power of normal sharingan=> Double power of MS=> Ems

Anyway, I have no idea, i've certainly wondered this. people say blaze release replaced Tsukyomi, others say blaze release is a part of Amaterasu.

On another note, I believe he used a normal genjutsu when fighting Bee and the Cloud sensory.

I have no idea, and there's probably no point arguing with people who are so dogmatic in their beliefs (nobody in this thread - y'all are pretty level headed). But, given that it's never been confirmed that Sasuke has used Tsukuyomi, it's likely that he doesn't have that ability. On the other hand, regarding this chapter, there's one glaringly obvious, yet oft overlooked, reason why Sasuke didn't use Tsukuyomi even if he could. He didn't need to. He accomplished what he intended with a lesser jutsu. The real question is, why did Itachi feel the need to go all out with Tsukuyomi? (there's a thread for that somewhere around here).

I think the reason he didn't use it is because he didn't have to, and why waste the chakra if you don't need to? Itachi has unlimited chakra in edo form so he used it cuz there was no reason not to.
