Ok, alot of people seem to be confused when it comes to this issue, so let me try and clear this up.
The term 'infinite chakra' is being misused by most people. It is not to say that an Edo's chakra supplies are infinite - consider, why wouldn't Tobi just use an Edo to revive the Juubi, why take the effort to collect all the Bijuus? It's because, even as an Edo, a shinobi's chakra levels are not comparable to that of a tailed beast. By infinite chakra, it is much more logical to suggest that this means it never dips to below their real world forms' level.
The main shinobi who people use to try and discredit the idea of an Edo having 'infinite chakra' is Muu. People normally refer to the time when Muu was unable to use Jinton after splitting, explaining that this proves he did not have 'infinite chakra'. Well, if this term was taken into a sensible context, such that it means them being at their highest level of chakra, we realise that Muu was unable to use Jinton because he was at only 50% of his max power, not because Edos do not have 'infinite chakra'.
Infinite / 2 = Infinite
This alone should make people realise that they cannot truly have an infinite amount of chakra. Moreover, for those who do agree that they don't have infinite chakra, you should also realise that (By taking Madara and even Itachi as prime examples) this means their chakra levels do not dip below their normal max value. An Edo's chakra doesn't hit a low point where they run out; it is simply maintained at a level which does not decrease. It is quite remarkable to believe that a non-edo Madara would be able to spam his abilities to such a degree where he isn't even breaking a sweat.
