Itachi vs Pein (Not Nagato, six paths)

Itachi mid difficulty. He Amaterasu Chibaku Tensei, turn into crows when Pain uses Shinra Tensei, figures out the 5 sec thing, Yata Mirror easily deflects Asura Path's weapons, Totsuka Sword seals the animal summonings, he easily kills the other nonfighter Paths. BAM! that simple

yeah if itachi knows that their already dead (sees chakra source from rods with eyes)he won't care about killing so he'll use deadly force if necessary to win xd

The only stipulations that I can fairly make where I feel that Itachi wins is full knowledge vs. no knowledge. Itachi should already have a good idea on the main aspects of the path's abilities, including the Deva path, animal path, Asura path, the Naraka path, the Human path and MAYBE the Preta path depending on where he was. He also knows on their shared vision, which was a big aspect of their fighting style. Remember that knowledge alone was enough to make Tobi, an intelligent strategist, feel that using the path's abilities would drain too much chakra for nothing (they said they have counters which Itachi might not have, but he can be pretty resourceful at times).

It's only fair that Pein should have knowledge on Itachi however, including Susano'o w/ the Sword Of Totsuka, Amaterasu, probably Tsukuyomi, etc. He wouldn't let it happen with this knowledge in hand. Itachi can weasel his way into killing quite a few paths... but I don't see him winning. Especially if GM comes into play somewhere

pein wins mid difficulty . dead bodies cant be put under genjutsu and fire element can be absorbed .. They pretty much have a counter for everything except the blade, but that can be ST'd away

amaterasu can be absorbed
tsukuyomi is not too useful as pain has his summons and his other paths
itachi cannot last for long in susano as he does not has ems nor does he has a large pool of chakra so hands down

Pain. The only reasons Itachi beat him was because of his intel, edo immortality and he had Naruto and Bee with him since Itachi has a normal MS he cant spam his techs and basically all of his techs can be countered amatarasu gets absorbed and Susano gets blown away by deva path.

It's a pretty conflicting issue in the forums. Itachi is known to analyze things and come up with a solution quickly, and SM Naruto defeated most of the paths through some form of trick/deception. This is pretty much Itachi's curb here. Deva's abilities were gone temporarily, but Itachi also had Susano'o going for him. I'm sure you can argue for both sides - an example for taking out the Preta path (the main problem), could be Itachi hiding shuriken in his katon like Sasuke did [Just an example for the whole Intelligence trumps all idea]. On the other hand is Pein's many different abilities.. which everybody already knows about.

Another form of an intelligence example could be Itachi discreetly putting the path behind all the other paths in a genjutsu to make them think the rest of the 5 are being attacked. Only he will see it, but the other paths will think that it's really happening because they have shared vision and rely on it for blind-sides. It's not the strongest argument but again it's just an example (I like writing this type of stuff anyways

yeah i was afraid somebody would point it out lol I wasn't really sure anybody cared so I didn't edit it. Other-wise I'd just say Itachi 100% xD

But what I intended was the "concept" of the fight. Like how the Rock Lee vs Kimimaro fight was based on the concept of taijutsu. Here it would be how smart Itachi is since Pein wouldn't really be whipping out the big guns w/o knowledge (making it more of a strategic battle at first). Some fights REQUIRE intelligence and is the main obstacle of an enemy so that's basically what I meant xD

If pain is still controlling the bodies genjutsu is effective, the bodies share the same eyes as nagato one body in genjustu means the other bodies including pain
