Being hit by a gamma ray burst. It would blow the entire atmosphere off of Earth, well the side that it hits. Microwave the side of the Earth it hit and radiate anything that survives. Then the Atmosphere from the other side of the Earth would quickly try to rush to the side that had its Atmosphere blown off. The winds would be 100MPH - 1000 MPH winds that would be either so hot it burns the skin off of you alive or so cold it will freeze your blood (depending on which side you live on).

Anyways..I'm afraid of speaking in front of big crowds ie. presenting in class, giving a speech.
