Nagato made a genjutsu on an entire village

Like the title says, i believe that Nagato made a genjutsu on his own village without they even knew. Why i say that?

(the genjutsu Inoichi has discovered and he says it's so incredible and powerful. He even says that someone(talking about Nagato) placed safeguards inside his brain. The man you see is the one Jiraya captured before fighting Pain. You can also see him here when he was captured:

What makes me believe Nagato used a genjutsu on his own entire village? Jiraya took this two arbitrarily. I don't know how Nagato would have known that only this one could be captured so that they could get information on him. Inoichi even says that he made a precaution with a "strong barrier" in his head so that it won't be easy to go through it and figure out somethings about him. That means from my point of vue that every ninjas in the village was in a genjutsu.

That could also explain why nobody even tried to know who Pain is, nobody even knew something about Pain. They were all in genjutsu. So what do you believe?

I dont think so .. because Nagato has never shown any usage of Genjutsu ... :S I think that the villagers were just afraid of him .. because he killed Hanzo who was very powerful and feared..

I think the rain was the way Nagato found out about Jiraiya . . when he was infiltrating he did say that he felt a strong presence, nobody can avoid the rain.

Inoichi says clearly that there is "a powerful genjutsu", and that's why his serum couldn't work.

It was because of the rain that he could detect outsiders who entered the village. But he might have put a genjutsu on certain people. They were the people who that took the dead bodies to that tower after all.

The reason he (or Konan, since they never even saw Pain or Nagato) used that mental shield on exactly them was that they were the ones bringing corpses to Nagato's tower.

Inoichi says clearly that there is "a powerful genjutsu", and that's why his serum couldn't work.

But its nowhere mentioned that Nagato used it .. it coud be anyone .. Konan or some other unknown user .. The "fact" is that Nagato "did not use Genjutsu "..

Who would have to protect something if it's not Pain himself? And if you look at the page following this you will see that it was said it's possibly one of Pain's techniques. Sure it's not that sure, but i don't see another person doing that than him
