What Are Your Goal's in Life?

I just want to know what you guys or girls goal are in life.

What do you all want to achieve.
I'll start off first:
My goal is just to own my own video game and technology company. I want my company to be bigger than Apple and Microsoft. I'm only sophomore in high school so i have along time to until i achieve it.

My goal is pretty simple. When I finish my four year degree in accounting and business management I plan to get a job somewhere in the accounting field. Save up and open my own coffee shop in my neighborhood. Im not going to get a good education just to leave my town behind. I will bring work here and help bring money into my city. Making it a better place for everyone. Around where I live there isnt any coffee shops and come on everyone drinks coffee. I open a coffee shop im giving people work and money in their pocket as well as my own. If im succesful I will expand and give more people work. I refuse to live a life working for someone else. Even something as simple as a coffee shop will give me the freedom I need when making money. Now thats a realistic goal my friend

Exactly, the best job is owning your own business and company. Nobody can boss you around or anything.
I just want to create video games that people of all ages will enjoy not just teenagers.

Well I want to be a billionaire and be powerful and influential with an unlimited source of money and abuse my power and live like a king, ruling over the peasants.


Or I would be happy getting into automotive school and starting a garage and fixing cars, because I love cars and I am already good at fixing them, I just don't have any real certification.

I am already really good at programming computers.
I am starting to create my own video game already. I have the whole story set out. I just have to write it down.

First I plan on majoring i three things: Business Management, Computer Programming, and Graphic Design. After I get a four year college degree I plan working for a few companies. I could work for a computer technology company or a video game creation company. During my time working these companies I will be developing game in secret. Then, when I'm finish creating it, I will go to Namco Bandai to see if they like the game. If they do, they will want to sell it to make profit off of it. They money I get off the profit of the game, I will buy my own studio or building so that i can create more games or a sequel to the game. There is more to the plan but this is basically a summary.

How to you plan on paying for college? How do you plan on getting the job you want at these companies over the thousands of other people who are well qualified and want the same job in this economy? Getting a job at a video gaming company is easier said than done, they are highly sought after jobs. Also, creating your game is easier said than done. And even if you do get the job, it will take years to get beyond data entry or the mail room. Modern video games take 1-3years each to create and thats with crews of hundreds of people working on them with a large cash pool to pull from. And as for presenting your idea to those companies, millions of people present their ideas to video game companies every day, and 99.99% of them get ignored, and if they do like your idea, they will say they hate it and send you away, and make the exact same game with a different name a year later.

Sorry to be pessimistic, but you have a tough road ahead of you.

Its good that you plan on doing business management. Ive been doing that for a few months now and ive learned quite alot of things. For instance you would have to worry about international competition. Companies like Microsoft and Sony will not let you enter the gaming industry very easily. They are major corporations that have been around for quite some time. Entering that field of competition would be tough. How do you think you can differentiate your games from their games? Meaning what would make me want to buy your game over their games? Thats what customers will think when considering buying your products. Think about that.

Its only right that he blows up for creating a computer. But you my friend are plannning to enter a highly competitive field, with hopes of becoming your own franchise. Then you have to think about licensing agreements. You better hope that the maker of naruto gives you rights to make a game about his show. Like how Only one game company can make Madden Nfl. Or Halo is only for xbox. Stuff like that. Again when i said to you what would make me want to buy something from you over them, i meant how are you different. YOu say you wan to make a new naruto game. But if you really think about it, there are plenty of them. how much money do you think you will make? Its just another naruto game. You have to think big. How can you change the gaming industry? What makes you different? Notice how when one company comes out with something so does the other. Look call of duty comes out right next to halo. Ps3 came out a little bit after xbox. Wii makes motioin control then xbox makes connect. Thats there way of keeping up with eachother. They pay close attention to their competition. Which is what you should do. You have to pay attention to your competition or be chewed out.

Yeah bill gates got it easy. Yup, there is a lot to do especially with licensing agreements. That's why i plan making first game original. When i become big that's when i start to make naruto games.
I haven't really thought about how my game will be different. I think I will have to put more thought into this creation.
