Why can't people accept that Tobi is Tobi??

So, we all know that the head villain is named Tobi, who lies about his identity,People think he is zetsu,obito and we also thought that he was madara himself until he got revived by Kabuto.I still keep hearing that Tobi is obito, but why can't we accept that Tobi is Tobi, a ninja who stole sharingan and rinnengan? :shrug:

Probably it's because of the mask. Seriously, any guy who (or woman?) appears from the shadows wearing a mask, and refers to himself as Tobi is just asking to be questioned. Add to the fact that he is double dipped in coating of deceit, and lunacy and it shouldn't come as any wonder. :hypertobi:

Though in all fairness, I think most people assume Tobi is simply an alias and not his real identity because of the general structure of the character. Meaning, Kishi purposely intends for him to be more then what he seems, and everyone sorta picks up on those vibes. It could be that he is simply Tobi, but that would be a strange and underwhelming turn of events - structure wise in character and story development (less he can pull out something from his as$:shrug

You spout that as if your opinion means more than anyone else. Don't pretend to know who Tobi is, at least others claim theirs is only a theory rather than fact like your self.

OT I think most of us who hope Tobi is not just some new foe named Tobi, hope that because we think it would be lame. Why the mask? Why the secrecy if he turned out to be a new character?

If anything, I actually like reading the theories, and as much as I am excited to find out who he is, it will be kinda sad to lose the mystery.

1 - He has lied about his identity before

2 - He said he's no one

3 - He's got a mask. Why wear a mask if you don't have something to hide?

4 - It's fun to theorize a bit.

But you're right. Tobi might be Tobi. I think most people accept that, but still try to figure out whether that's true or not.

I think it's fun to come up with theory's about who tobi is and use links from the manga to back it up. It was going overboard with the amount of threads that was being made but it has died down now.

Yeah, exactly, the best joke, people who think Tobi is actually No one.
For over 300 chapters we people have been thinking and thinking for who Tobi could be, hes shown his face couple of times but got interrupted and such, I guess those are all coincidences right? I mean back when Tobi was fixing his Zetsu arm Kishimoto decided not to show his face, coincidence right?:sy:
