You have a point, but I still personally believe Hashirama was the strongest Hokage so far, then probably Hiruzen. And i agree with you on the 2nd part, Instead of him starting out slow I feel it would have been the contrary.

Pretty sure that's exactly what that new movie that kishi himself is making is gonna be about, so it's gonna be interesting to see. Remember seeing a thread like this in the past and it included Minato being able to make peace with the Uchiha clan so the tragedy never happened, Itachi actually had a happy life, and sasuke didn't turn out bad. However in the movie I noticed that Itachi was still in akatsuki meaning it must have happened. Poor guy can't catch a break can he?

Actually ive calculated how minato was around his death and i believe he was in his late 20's.

Firstly ever genin under the influence of a jonin has a minimum of 12 years above them.

Team kakash for example. He was 26-27. Sasuke, naruto and sakura were 13. There is a 13 year gap.

Team asuma for example. He was 26-27. Shika, ino and choji were 13.
Again there is a 13 year gap

Team kurenai. She was 27-28. Hinata, shino and kiba were around 13.
Again there is a 13 year gap

Team gai. He was 26-27. Lee, neji and tenten were 14 (A year above)
There is again around a 13 year gap.

I hope you can see the pattern. You cannot really gage how old an ainme character is going by their looks because thats very deceiving. During the 3rd great war, he was the sensei of team kakashi and at that time kakashi was 13 when he got promoted to jonin. I bleieve the pattern is constant, throughout, no different to how there is always 2 boys and 1 girl in a team xd. I believe minato like the other jonins ive mentioned above had a minimum of 10-12 gap over his student.

Anyway we later say kakashi and gai who was around 17-18 when the fox attacked. If minato was to have a 10-12 year gap on kakashi when he was 13, minato during the war was around 24-25. If add that during the fox attacked kakashi was around 17-18, you can further deduct that minato died around (17-13= 4) 24/5 + 4 = 28/9.

Its not cheap to put him there xd, besides he is kabuto's weapon therefore its kabuto who is there. Tobi might not have shown us much, but he going up against 4 extremely powerful ninja's and still hasnt shown us his true power

dude dont underestimate kyuubis speed it is almost as equal to ftg imo though
though i can see naruto learning diff. kinds of sealing jutsus from his father and advancing to the level he is now much before but that would not be a good point from the story point of view xd

well, Minato would have become the strongest hokage in no time, it was only a matter of time before he learned to pair rasengan with his element, and then he would eliminate pretty much his only drawback and jump into the top 5.

as to Naruto, he wouldn't be as powerful without the kyuubi, but he would be a much better ninja.
a. the kyuubi wouldn't mess up his chakra control, meaning he would progress much faster. he learned kage bunshin,multi kage bunshin, and rasengan at age 12, imagine if he had better chakra control.
b. with Minato to teach him, he would have learnt fuinjutsu, and possibly training to improve his speed rapidly like sasuke did when kakashi trained him. not to mention, much better shinobi sense and knowledge.
c. he would have learnt the wind element much faster, as well as his second element. which means, combination attacks with clones.
d. then, he would perfect sage mode without the kyuubi interfering, meaning he can merge with ma and pa and would be pulled out of sm after 5m/2 rasenshuriken.

in short, Naruto would be a stronger and more enduring, less smart version of Minato with a few improvements/innovations of his own. He would still have a big drive to succeed, to surpass Sasuke his rival, and his father, the strongest person in the village. and with Sasuke's abandoning the village, he would still improve very fast.

as to Orochimaru, he wouldn't dare attack Konoha, not with two kage stronger than him there. even Pain might have second thoughts

Yeah good points, but let's assume that Minato still had to seal Kurama inside Naruto to save the village. Also, that the Uchiha massacre still took place.

ok then lets see naruto would be cool and all the girls like him since his dad is hokage. oro and the sand would get their ass kicked, The massacre will still happen in my opinion but danzo would probably be out of a job imo. Naruto would have learnt faster in sealing and chakra control no bijuu for him. He wouldn't let sasuke run around like he wants just because he loves his son he would do the kage duty and probably send someone to stop sasuke. Tsunade would be the bum she was jman would visit only to see naruto then leave on mission. naruto would be healthier since he has a mom and dad than can cook a good meal.
3rd would still be alive and both layeth the smack on pain. Honestly naruto proably wouldn't be a dumb as he is.

He would be faster because he would have learned and perfected SM, and that adds a variety of rasengans and other buffs.

Then well, i dont even believe Itachi or Madara would be able to see him in SM.

IMO,it would be like this :
1)Naruto still not good in some things (just like how he was before). His father taught him many things yet he was still unable to reach it.

2)Accidentally attracted others and thus caused problems to his father. Sometimes he get bored and disturbed others. Poor yondaime-sama.

3)Still envy Sasuke because Sasuke is better than him. Naruto is the son of 4th hokage yet felt down because he wasn't good enough. So,I believe Sasuke would be his rival,just like in the manga.

4)Naruto will get more friends. But Sasuke as his frenemy.

And if Minato was alive, he wouldn't let his son run after a guy as if his in love with him ( most probably is ). He would teach Naruto how to run after girls.
