which akatsuki pair can the 7 swordsman of the mist can beat?

Considering that Kisame was one of the 7 Swordsmen I would have to say Kisame and Itachi because it would just be Kisame + the other 6 swordsmen vs. Itachi.

Unless you want us to go with the previous generation of 7 swordsmen?

In that case it might be Hidan and Kakuzu, no one else though.

I think that they could take Hidan & Kakuzu. I mean let's face it, Ino-Shika-Chou + kakashi took out Hidan and Kakuzu, and they are basically the weakest team in Konoha.

Samehada is a good counter to Kakuzu's elemental attacks, and I know at least 2 other elements the swordsmen have to counter those elemental masks with. (I assume that they all have water, because well their group all uses the hidden mist and that is a water jutsu.)

Any of the swordsmen can fight Hidan to a standstill. Especially Mangetsu, who won't ever bleed if he gets hit by Hidan.

So yeah Hidan and Kakuzu can't win this.

Not sure they could beat the Deidara/sasori team due to poison and deidara's annoying tendency to stay out of melee range.

They could set up hidden mist, take out hidan and then have kakuzu outnumbered 7 to 5and win.

Itachi and kisame, despite being overall one of the strongest, are going to be one of the easiest to fight. Let's face it, Itachi isn't nearly as op in group fights as in solo, and kisame can't stand up to the full force of his entire past team. Kishi never did explain why Itachi isn't blinded by hidden mist.

I believe that you are referencing the Kakashi -Naruto- vs. Itachi fight?

Yeah that only happened in the anime, he didn't use hidden mist in the manga, and also Kishi made up alot of bullcrap so that Kakashi didn't get killed by Itachi easily.

What I'm talking about is when Kakashi goes underground, the sharingan can see chakra underground, but Kishi conveniently forgot that so Itachi tried a genjutsu on a clone. Real cool Kishi, real cool.

We don't know their power to begin to talk about that. Their battle was offpanel. So i think it's ridiculous to judge their power only cuz they were took out by Kakashis team. Just look at Chojuro a kid, who took out Black Zetsu almost on his own, and you think 7swordsmen could not beat him at least with other pairs? And i believe Hozuki Mangetsu and other swordsmen were stronger. Just look how he was feared when he heard that someone like Zabuza was took out by Kakashi in the Kage summit. I think 7swordsmen are really underestimate. Yes Kisame beat his master but the way Madara told that, it's as if he killed him from behind without that he could even defend himself. I think he was still stronger than Kisame at that time. Anyway like i've said we can't know. Their fight was off panel. So this thread is meaningless.
