As Yamato is stuck in the flowery thingy, I think Harishirama's spirit will enter Yamato when he will be freed by Naruto or somebody else.

Then Yamato will have new found powers - can utilize his wood release more and will be the only one able to stop Edo-Madara. (Assuming that releasing the edo jutsu of Kabuto's will not work on Edo-Madara)

its a good theory but what if the living statue absorbs him ? we would have another hashirama same memories .. etc a human clone ( the perfect replica )

even if yamato's wood jutsu never becomes powerful like hashiramas one thing that might work would be if naruto creates a shadow clone, makes it go kyubi or bijuu mode and yamato carry him on his back and with the life energy coming from naruto it could make yamatos wood element jutsu strong cause remember when naruto s life energy turned yamatos wood totems to turn into trees.
