Madara lost to the first hokage while in his prime. He had even better eyes than any uchiha has or will ever have. He later achieved the rinnegan, had the aid of the nine tails and had lots of chakra and still lost, that means that there is more to the senju than meets the eye thus naruto being one (while in sage mode) means he not only will he be able to defeat sauske, he can defeat tobi if he gets hold of those scrolls the first had.
Naruto is spiecal. He had fate on his side. He defeated the most prononced of this class mates (neji, kiba and gaara's ultimate form), was teamed up with a uchiha, fought hate along the way and was the first to became a sage in the whole series.
More still, he has learnt from the best teachers, Kakashi, jiraiya, the great sage frogs, a little from his parents and lots of other academy teachers, opponents and is well travelled in the ninja world unlike his fellow jinchuuriki.
