current kakashi and gai would most probably be stronger than the sannin who fought hanzo but a>b>c logic doesnt really work in naruto so i have no idea

They were young.they didn't know so much.thats why they lost

Gai and Kakashi take this. With kakashi's smarts and sharingan he can make a smart enough battle plan to defeat hanzo. with his strategies he and Gai could probally could stop hanzo with mid to high difficulty imo.

hanzo's salamander had poison gas that was stronger than sasori's poison, dont see kakashi or guy surviving that

Kakashi and Gai are pretty strong but man who can beat Orochimaru, Jiraiya and Tsunade at one time without one scratch is too much for them..

When Hanzo defeated all the Sannin, they were much weaker.

Futhermore, we seen Hanzo get defeated by Mifune, who is weaker than Kakashi or Gai based on feats.

Now I'm not a huge fan of applying abc logic, but based on feats, Kakashi could probably solo.

Yes I know Hanzo was past his prime in that fight, so we don't really know how strong Hanzo was exactly, all we know is that he defeated the sannin in their youth, escaped from Pain and lost against Mifune.

Kakashi and Gai win.
