Hozuki Clan counters the Wood Release?

Just wondering.. Would the Hozuki Clan's liquid body be a counter for the Wood Release?

I guess with the Wood Release, you could put the liquid body into some type of wood container? But doesn't water go through wood? You can't kill them with weapons or physically attacks.

What are your thoughts?

So does lightning, but I'm not talking about fire, The Hozuki's Clan Liquid body.

Lol, isn't that a sponge? i mean only the roots of the plants and the trees can absorb water and it doesn't happen instantly..i mean as far as i know wood can't absorb water...at least in real life it doesn't...

Wood release is overrated in combat.

wood release users can also use earth release, and water is weak against earth. besides, the flower world jutsu will still have an effect on the hozuki clan, although it's very good at tanking blunt damage

Wood release doesn't have a weakness. Which is why Hashirama was the strongest man in the world and why everyone was after his DNA.
