Deidara's c4 could not affect the wood and probably cannot affect earth style user.
Also jman has fire element that can be very handy against explosives , there by deidara.
So Jman looks the winner for me.

Seriously guys Jiraiya wins this with Mid-High difficulty..... there is no advantage or dissadvantage here, even if Deidara flies into the air, so what Jiraiya summons a toad and jumps high into the air and attacks with a massive flame.

Deidara on the other hand will run out of clay, which Jiraiya would outlast.

Sauske was THE PERFECT match for deidara. Sauske had all of the advantages which rendered most of deidara's techniques useless.

Lastly, why did you forget Deidara's ability to make nano sized bombs? It was probably because it would screw up your argument. all he would need to do is set that off, and byby j-man AND his summons.

But on this one? Deidara is almost as brash as Sasuke.

Jiraiya can also escape the suicide bomb technique the same way Sasuke did. Hell, it'd be even easier as the summons would actually concede to it and he wouldn't have to use genjutsu.

Dude j-man is my second fav character. But he has no response to nano bombs.

Gamabunta = Fire/Oil bomb destruction which can counter all deidara's clay birds and such, and have you even seen how fast and powerful Gamabunta is, he can easily dodge Deidara's attacks.

Gamabunta avoided several attacks from several opponents and summons with ease and in the new movie Blood prison he keeps dodging attacks from a surperior opponent.

so dont come and say summons wont work. especially Ma & Pa will devastate Deidara.

Ma and Pa's sound genjutsu would catch deidara anyway. Not only that Pa's water release (the thing she used to kill Pein's chameleon) might get him too.

I also think there was a lot more to J-man that we were allowed to see, he was old, experienced and was a Sannin as a result. I think deidara lacks the discipline to beat someone like that, he's the sort of guy to celebrate a victory before he gets it and get smashed as a result.

Maybe not *STOMPS* but I think he would handle Deidara mid difficulty. I see a lot of people saying Deidara, and although he does have the advantage, I think the difference in strength is a bit wide. J-man probably would have even taken Pein down had he known his abilities from the start like Naruto did, but that's just my opinion.

Location would probably play a pretty important role here. If they fought in close quarters (such as where Jiraiya fought Pein) then I'd give it to Jiraiya no problem, but if they fought in a place like Sunagakure or where Sasuke fought him, it wouldn't be as easy... I'm still pretty certain Jiraiya would win, though.

Again...just my opinion

That's another reason I think J-man would pretty much eat Deidy alive...Jiraiya would dismantle him mentally, calling him kid, pointing out his inexperience and strategic flaws, and even with the nano bombs, I think Jiraiya would instinctively know to get out of there; hell, if he wasn't trapped or something, then I would imagine he would already be far enough away. People forget how far his toads can jump--he would have been able to cover far more distance than Sasuke did, theoretically.

Jiraya wins high difficulty.
The c4 can be evaded by reverse summoning and remember sage mode can sense chakra so he would sense the small bombs and reverse summon himself to the toad island or evade them like sasuke since he can sense it.
J-man's hair can extend and grab deidara and gamabunta can slice his sword high enough to reach deidara in the sky.
Jiraya has higher chakra and will outlast deidara till his clay and chakra is finished :shrug:
Jiraya will win but will loose his summons to bombs xd
