i cant take him seriously. during the kyubi attack. all he did was push kurama via enma stick. talk about he tired right after. and that wasnt even him pushing, it was enma doing all the work right?

and it was probably close to his so called prime. not his prime tho. but close.

hes kinda overrated with the title god of shinobi. when third raikage was still alive during sarutobi's era. and mr dust release.

Hiruzen fought Orochimaru when he was 69 years old, not in his prime, with Enma against his former student who had Hashirama and Tobirama by his side, yet still Hiruzen defeated both former hokages and it was clear that he would have defeated Orochimaru if he was just 10 years younger which means around 59.

The kyuubi attack was just about a few years earlier which means around 57 years old, not his prime, not even close. So by that time he would be weakened to what he used to be yet still he beat the Kyuubi out of the village with a single strike, so what if he was tired i say that is very impressive.

He still would have had tons of chakra left and able to fight.

So i dont see why you think he is not worthy of such a title.

Totally agree. He fought orochimaru at the age of 69!? Thats insane. Not to mention the anbu watching in the anime stated he would have used his shadow clones (he must have had great proficiency with them ) and would have won but he was too old. He used dragon flame bombs , earth style jutsu and the reaper death seal... How much more could you ask for?

Onoki is older than 69 and he is dominating the war right now. If I am not mistaken he has fought; Deidara, Mu, the 2nd Mizukage, and of course the insane Edo Madara.

Onoki is also the one to do the most damage to Edo Madara and the one to save them multiple times; with the two meteors that he stopped, his stone golems, taking out the world flower tree, etc.

Onoki in his old age >>>>>>>>>>> Hiruzen as an old man. There isn't really any debating that point.

Sure you can make an argument for their primes, but truth be told any argument would be hinged on hype. Onoki is just the strongest kage now, and the strongest kage of his time in my opinion

do you know what trolls hiruzens? is that when kishimoto trolled orochimaru to hype a 13years old itachi. look at this if hiruzen (old) hold its own to show that hiruzen surpasses his teachers in his prime. he even manages to take their legs out with exloding tags if it wasnt for the edo regen 1st and 2nd dont have legs that means advantage for hiruzen. it was also stated that hiruzen was strongest amongst the 5 current kages.

oro was strong he was as strong as jiraiya. bee, A,onooki. but everything was ruined when a 13 years old itachi trolled oro. i cant see a 13 yearold itachi can do if he was in their fighting edo madara

Yeah, but it's also the Sage's nickname as well, don't forget. There are people in real life that won't let you name a teddy bear after deities (that's an old news story I heard and I thought it was unbelievable). So that's going a little bit past respect, ya think? Either it's a fetish of some sort or there's a bit of truth regarding the extent of his power, and if that's true, there shouldn't be someone more powerful than you if you're "the God of Shinobi". Not hatin', just sayin'.
