i said before kakashi could take him on a good day. Reason: Gai took him, manga says gai and kakashi are near equals. therefore Kakashi might be able to take him... assuming he matches up as well as gai did against kisame which I believe they would as they are both a majority tai users...

I have nothing against Kakashi at all, in fact I love the dude. I have not said a single thing against him.

Just because one person is suited to beating someone, does not mean someone of equal power with different skills could do the same.

If the fight ends quickly, Kakashi wins. If it goes on for too long then kisame would probably win. In Kisame's favor he can absorb most of kakashi's jutsu (other than kamui clones and summoning) making them pointless other than diversions unless he's attacked from behind or seperated from his sword. He could also outlast kakashi if the fight dragged on for too long. In kakashi's favor he's extremely good at taijutsu and has the sharingan to read movements and copy kisame's moves to cancel them like he did against Zabuza. He's also very smart with weapons and traps. He already proved he ain't afraid of no swordsmen. Either way its a hard fight.

i dont really like him any more since he hasn't really done anything cool since fighting Zabuza. Which is another reason I think he could take kisame... Zabuza and Kisame have similar skill sets, except Zabuza was way weaker than kisame... but kakashi has also gotten stronger SUPPOSEDLY... That fight didn't go very smooth for Kakashi, but he probably would've done much better if the kids weren't around... seeming as how at first he had Zabuza pooing himself.

I think kakashi is smarter and better with nin than gai which also should give him a little edge and/or make up for any lapse in kakashi's tai between him and gai... and I bet of the "1000 justsus" Kakashi has copied, he got a lot from Gai...

I just thought of something though, Kisame would absorb any nin kakashi would use...

this is a tough one to call. I'd say 5 out of 10 times kakashi could win but I'm afraid thats all I could give him.

Yeah kakashi would have to stick to Tai. which it said he's pretty good. I think it said he's as good as Rock Lee... but the Rock Lee as a kid... and who knows if he's actually improved...

But oh yeah... Kakashi Wouldn't just know that... at least a couple of his Jutsus would be absorbed...

haha "but Kamui can one hit KO anyone" haha. Thats like saying Krillin SHOULD be able to one hit anyone in DBZ using a combo of Solar Flare and Desctructo Disc. Could it happen? sure. But the writers would never allow it to cause it'd be rather boring.

I've been thinking about this for some time and all I've been able to come up with is there being several different scenarios. I'll just have to settle with saying it's 50/50.

If Might Guy can beat Kisame using nothing but Taijutsu, I'm pretty sure with being able to open the Eight Gates and the assistance of the Sharingan would give Kakashi an even bigger advantage. Not even about to make a statement using the Kamui crappy scenario.

At the same time, Kisame is extremely powerful, that's one thing that cannot be ignored. When fused with Samehada, Kakashi's chances of winning drastically drop. There's not one person who should sleep on the guy. In the end, I think if Kakashi can separate Kisame from Samehada, then yeah, he can win. However, with Samehada, Kisame has a chance to win. Again, it all depends on what happens... you just can't be too sure.

Kisame is pretty much a lesser version of the preta path, that one big shark jutsu that eats other one's is enough to get Kakashi, ppl give Kamui way too much credit for an attack that's never killed anyone.

uhhhh... kakashi didn't "fight" Hidan... They clashed one time scythe versus kunai... and Hidan couldn't touch him... I just re read that chapter (after Kakashi and Hidan didn't sound right) and as a matter of fact Kakazu didn't even do THAT much damage (one surprise kick)... and then it was four on one at that point with all his hearts out since Choji and Ino were useless sitting there watching... Thats not really a fight I would say is comparable at all though...

Agreed though Kisame is a whole other beast... Kakashi COULD take him... If they fought in a manga chapter (I think the manga would help him more than anything)... But no guarantees otherwise... And the longer the fight drags on the worse it is for Kakashi...

people are underestimating both teams. kakashi fought hidan and kakuzu ages ago. now hes taking on 7 swordsmen (before kisames generation), and V2 bijuus. kisame is still too strong though. great shark bullet only didnt work on gai because afternoon tiger isnt ninjutsu. but kakashis primarily ninjutsu. kisamehada will just trap him in the water dome and beat him to death. inside the dome he wont focus quickly enough for kamui.
