Especially in the anime fillers and movies? Fair enough he beat a Pein path using the techniques Naruto passed down to him but come on look at the damage he made with his normal rasengan against Temari.

Then here he makes as many clones as Naruto. He knows Odama Rasengan when Naruto hasn't even taught him it. He also knows Sarutobi & Asumas jutsu.

The anime is giving konohamaru more spotlight than the ninja Naruto's age.

isn't he Naruto's rival? He was still bitchslapped around by base Naruto, and only got him once by a tame punch because he got tripped. yeah he's stronger than Naruto was at his age, and he will be a second Hiruzen imo, but he still won't surpass Naruto. But Konohamaru is getting the kind of progress expected from a genius sarutobi

Konohamaru has gotten stronger over a period of time but i think it will take him a year or so to reach naruto's level of strength :)

He got the luck to have people who want to see him get strong like his grandfather sarutobi and asuma also with iruka naruto and other people he always had other strong ninja to learn from so of course he is going to learn a few things

He's not really being overpowerd.. He's rival, Naruto, is trying to make him strong by teaching him a lesson... So everyone we see him, he gets really powerful! Plus the timing in the Naruto World for the OVA/Movie is off....

Note: Movie and OVA9 were released at the same time so its okay to say they took place around the same time..
