question here is, are you able to draw in nature energy even if your in a genjutsu, and if you can will you be able to break out of it? since your basically applying a greater power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra?

After collecting Natural energy, the body becomes stable. If someone were to absorb the natural energy while moving then they will convert into toad or Snake(maybe in case of Kabuto)..

But if it were Jiraiya, it mightn't have worked. Afterall Ma and Pa were always there by his side..

You could, Naruto tried disrupting his chakra once against itachi (forgot chapter/episode). It would probably be more effective since the chakra is foreign (?)

Even in SM, Kabuto clearly stated that he isnt immune to Genjutsu becuase of SM itself, but only becuase his vision is blocked by snake coronea. I think that proves enough.

Actually, that was clone, not Genjutsu. Itachi can make clones so fast that his opponents are not aware of that, remember?

it makes sense.however for it to break powerful genjutsu's like tsukuyomi,he would have to take in natural energy as soon as the genjutsu takes effect or disperse a shadow clone that was gathering natural energy immediately after it is activated.However it would not break izanagi because that genjutsu is cast on the caster and i dont see it breaking the demonic illusion toad confrontation chant because this genjutsu not only paralysis the mind but knocks the body unconscious.a powerful genjutsu indeed

Be careful with this comment. We dont know if Itachi used a genjutsu on Kabuto when he was swinging in the air and seen the crows. This has been argued before, b/c Itachi can use the crows to start a genjutsu but ultimately the crows are a SUMMON and not a genjutsu. He can summon the crows and NOT use them in a genjutsu if he wishes. So maybe Itachi never had him in a genjutsu, but used the crow summons to temporarily blind Kabuto. He attempted to cut him with Sasuke's sword in the confusion.

Can you gather nature chakra to escape genjutsu? Yes. Naruto was gathering nature chakra with his natural body when he was active fighting the Kuubi. He was MOVING while THINKING in his mind and fighting, but his TRUE BODY was still... so he was able to instantly go Sage Mode when the Kuubi released its control on him through the "hate" he absorbed from Kuubi.
Im sure if Naruto was caught in a genjutsu now... the moment he realizes it he could break out cause he then knows his "true body" isnt moving at all.
