If someone just appears behind you suddenly. You would not have the proper reaction time to notice he is there, then channel your chakra throughout your body.

Unless he somehow shouts to you to turn around.

Nagashi is overused U_U

*I see you make the boar handseal. As you do, I use nagashi, timing this correctly, I would release the electricity in unison of you performing the Shadowless flight. The second you vanish and appear, lightning shocks you, paralyzing you*

You could also place armor on your bio.

Ram Handseal =/= Shadowless Flight. It could be a water technique? Wind technique?

I could also just vanish and appear a few feet back and use a water technique just to electrocute you?

If I'm correct, using Shadowless Flight you don't need to appear "hugging" the opponent

Shadowless flight requires the Boar handseal. You see the boar handseal, tho only taking a guess, you build up your raiton chakra, as you see that they perform that seal only and then vanish, you have enough intel to know that it's swift release so when they get to you, it would be close, but you would be emitting electricity from you. Yes it's cheap, but so is the opponent if he/she is trying to win that way. It's the Same as how people never look into an Unchiha's eyes before they fight, even tho they have no way of knowing they are an uchiha until they activate their sharingan. Taking precautions is a common thing. If they move around you, you simply, turn around? Since they aren't in your frontal vision they must be behind you. Unless you meant they just swift back and perform water, you stop the electricity and counter the water

When Hiruko starts fighting Naruto, he uses Swift Release to cross a distance that's definitely greater than 10 metres to slam Naruto with a Big Ball Rasengan. Swift release is also nature type chakra, meaning that it isn't excessive, it's your body using your chakra to go at fast speeds like gates basically in the sense that you would not have to stop every 5 meters to use it again, you could keep moving until you run out of chakra.

It has nothing to do with gates.

I have only skimmed through this but from what i saw, the main problem is that people simply don't understand swift and untalented members abuse it with random guess, expressions and assumptions leading to it being more feared than it is.

I'm too tired right now to further develop this, but lets not forget that as fast as a swift user moves, he's still bound by basic laws. One of them is that he needs to "stop" before hitting the enemy, clearly appearing again moving at normal speed. Also, nothing can be done within a swift release technique. You use swift then you use another technique. I've seen people with this ridiculous argument that hiruko moved using swift with a Rasengan in hand so they can do it the same... Yeah, he did... But he was the villain of a movie which we all know is not proof of much. He also had 4 KG and the ability to collect a 5th, however we don't allow it in our RP. Its simple as that. Some things need to be used with better judgement.

Swift is not Gates, periods. I may be the "poor man"'s gates but it has not a single similarity.
