Amatarasu is not 1 hit Kill !!!

Amaterasu IS the most overrated jutsu on this, along with Tsukuyomi, FTG, and Susano'o.

No, I am not implying anything against Uchiha fans or Minato fans are the worst, I am saying that their jutsu are overrated.

Amaterasu CAN kill someone. It's a very dangerous jutsu to about 99% of Naruto (if you include all 80,000 Shinobi in the war, only a handful are either NOTABLE or skilled enough to dodge Amaterasu).

But whose survived it? Everyone it's been used against.

1. Sasuke survived it. Itachi knew he'd survive it.
2. Karin survived it. Didn't instantly kill her like everyone thought.
3. Raikage dodged it.
4. Gaara blocked an Enton without it burning through his shield.
5. Random Samurai survived it, although Kankuro removed his armor for him shortly after.

Note: Some people will say that Amaterasu trumps Gaara's sand. WHERE in the manga does it ay that? Gaara's sand is also capable of S-Rank techniques. Zetsu has hyped of Amaterasu to what it is, but it doesn't mean that Gaara's sand isn't capable of blocking it. Amaterasu burns slowly.

maybe naruto can push off the flames with chakra arms, but it's clear that a chakra cloak does at least help some bit in fending off the flames for a while. anyway, amaterasu has killed the grand total of one tiny orochimaru snake so far, and quite a few characters have been hit by it so... i don't think it would be a game ender in itself.

Oro's jutsu, A's body flicker, tobi's intangiblity, possibly dans ghost mode and muu's body splitting are the best means to survive

I'm pretty sure Kabuto wasn't charging Itachi because of precautions from Itachi's genjutsu

It is a one hit kill, which is Kishi gave Naruto such fast speed, so he can have a counter for Amatarasu.

There are so many fail trolls on here who ask what has amaterasu killed. Well im certain it 1 shotted danzo twice for him to sacrifice 2 eyes, 12 zetsu clones. But also tbh its a stupid question to ask what has amaetrasu killed. Just because a technique hasnt killed anyone doesnt mean it cannot kill. I can the same, what has dust release or tbb killed.

Suigetsu tanked tbb from point blank range.

A weakened oro was still alive after it.

All 3 techniques are more or less 1 shot techniques but if you are judging out of the three which has killed its actually amaterasu, from the snake, to danzo, 10-12 zetsu clones. But also if you look at all 3 techniques and how its used amaterasu is the best out of the 3

FTG is effective we saw it hit tobi and him we saw minato use it numerous times in other battles, the only person to get out tsukuyomi is sasuke and thats because itachi let him.

Sasuke was hit with the black flames and lives using a substitution jutsu + Naruto has gotten way too fast and strong to be beaten by Sasuke. I really have no idea why people think Sasuke can even compare to Naruto anymore. Sasuke got his ass handed to him by the Riakage and now Naruto is the 2nd person to deflect the Riakage's dad and he beat him in like 1 minute. and then moved on to ALL the other tailed-beasts and whooped all their asses.

Actually amaterasu is actually a 1 hit kill technique and i remember correctly it one shotted Danzo like twice for him to use izanagi.

If amaterasu is aimed to perfection and it engulfs an opponent thats about it. If sasuke was to hit naruto with amaterasu, it will spread all over his chakra shroud and im not sure whether his chakra shroud can protect him. A lightning release chakra shroud didnt

He can use chakra arms to remove amaterasu
